Our leader, Jimmy “Eddie Jones” Butler doesn’t seem bothered so the team is following their passive leader.

One loss is one loss. Let's take the next two and move on.

We're 5th seeds in the East after all so we can't expect to sweep everyone.
I remember when the Dolphins were perennial contenders

I think the thing that stood out to me the most was how motionless the offense was, there was not a ton of off ball movement for long stretches. We don't want Boston to be able to conserve energy on defense. I hope we see a ton of off ball motion to the basket. With any luck we get a rested Goran and he can penetrate more often in game 4.

offense wasnt that bad asside from missing a bunch of 3's. we scored over 100.

now defense on the other hand... we gave up 60pts in the paint.

Im guessing he is ripping them because he cares. I will agree that Butler needs to be more active when Dragic and Crowder are not clicking.

I am sure everyone including Butler agrees with that. It's interesting in that vacuum, Herro has been as strong as he has at such a young age.

We shot 39% from the field. Can't do that and expect to win. Big rebounding deficit too. Team just wasn't engaged. That was evident from the very start. Heat needed to lose.

I'm fine when people say that 'player x' needs to step their game up.

It just hits a little different when claims such as "he doesn't seem bothered" are made. We have played 12 playoff games this postseason thus far. The way Butler played last night is the same way he has played in literally 9 out of the 12 playoff games (excluding game 1 against Indiana and game 1 and games 3 against Milwaukee). It's the same way he played in games 1 and games 2 against Boston. So what was the difference in game 3? Well, we bricked majority of our open threes - that's the difference.

I guarantee you if Butler could see the future and realize we were going to shot 12-44 from downtown, he would have been more aggressive looking for his own shot.

The sooner we all accept that Butler isn't a Jordan/Kawhi type player, and is more so a 'make the right basketball play' type of player, the better it'll be for all of us.

100% I would rather have Butler kick it out to our shooters for an open three rather than taking a contested shot. That style of play is what has got us this far.

We live and die by our shooters. If we can't hit the open shots, we aren't going to win. Butler could have played better for sure, but to say he doesn't seem bothered just doesn't make sense to me.

Disappointing loss. Seems like turnovers played a big part. I'm hoping the layoff gives us a chance to regroup, and get back on the right track. Really wish I could see these games live. Let's get right. Let's go Heat!

C'mon. He's an allstar we need to hold up to those standards. Noone is asking him to go James Harden and average 35 pts a game. He should be expected to average atleast 20 points. He should be expected to take over when the offense is in the mud.
Dragic and Herro have been the ones saving the Heat when we go in the dry spells yet Jimmy gets all the plaudits for leading this team. Lebron and CP3 are all-round, first pass players but when their teammates can't hit shots, they take it upon themselves to get buckets. That's the responsibility of being a star. There are going to be stretches where you going to have to keep your team in it because the role players have gone cold.

I agree he needs to play better offensively. A lot of our players do. Again, going out of the flow of the offense to chuck shots just isn’t what Jimmy Butler does well.

No one is giving all of the credit to Jimmy. I don’t know where you got that from. It’s been stated multiple times by reputable analysts that this team does its scoring by committee. Bam, Robinson, Crowder, Dragic, Herro and Spo have all got their fair dues.

Chris Paul has never been to the conference finals. Bad comparison.

Again, I agree he does need to play better. But like I said before, we will only go as far as our shooters take us.
