MettaWorldPanda wrote:Grant would be amazing addition along side Bam but it's going to cost Herro in order to make that move. Duncan alone is not going to cut it. Grant is out now 4-6 weeks with the same exact injury that happened to Bam. Any trade discussions involving Grant most likely happen closer to the deadline.

What does Herro offer that Strus doesn’t at this point? Same thing with Martin replacing DROB.

He’s a young elite prospect and trade chip, you don’t trade him for a grant level player you go for bigger fish with him.

What’s so elite about him? His defense and ability to develop plays is average. He has a decent amount of athleticism, but doesn’t use it to get a basket on demand or grab a much needed rebound. Instead, he uses that athleticism to be a streaky shooter.

The system made the player, just like DROB and now just like Martin, Vincent, and Strus. I gotta give credit to Spo and the Heat for finding ans developing these players to the point that they appear elite, but there’s nothing elite about any of those five.

He’s a 21 year old averaging 20-5-4 you have locked up for at least the next 4 years if you want. He’s not a 26 year old one trick pony like DRob.
