It’s not just the lack of scoring punch, but he’s 2/10 from the field in 3 games. He needs to be a threat, or else the floor shrinks. Doubley so when PJ’s mean regression is real and Duncan, well, sucks.

It's obvious that he's being asked to be a facilitator, he's actively giving up good shots for himself to move the ball.

Oh, BTW, he's also has 25 assists those 3 games.

I’m more than happy for him to be a facilitator, but he should still be a threat for 12-14 a night.

He's currently averaging 13 a game, I think that meets the criteria of being a threat for 12-14 a night.

Consistently. Not 18 one night, 6 the next. That’s all I’m saying. He needs to be a threat come playoff time and can’t keep coasting. I’m glad he’s initiating and getting guys going but he should call his own number a little more. We need his offense too.

Cavs bother me way more than the Nets in the playoffs. They're a problem defensively.

Does Miami need his offense every game or in certain games? They are in 1st place, his numbers overall seem to indicate he's helping the team but for some reason scoring means way more to most on this board vs just doing what he needs to do to win most games.

So tonight would you have been happy had he took 10 more shots to get that scoring total up to 13 while probably taken most if not all of those shots away from Bam, Butler and Herro (possibly Strus too).

It's weird, he's actually doing what a PG does, tries to get his team running smoothly while sacrificing his own scoring.

Also, Yurt with 2 points and 2 rebounds in his minute of play. Per 36, that would be 72 points and 72 rebounds. Unreal.

If u don't want 2b here, the way things work, u don't like it, then don't b here. U have 2 stand on something. If Miami ain't standing on something, they become alot of these organizations trying 2 find their identity. This is the culture, bro -Wade

Their length bothers us and they'll feast on the glass.

1st time we played them (Yurtz 4min), they beat us by 26 and beat us 46-28 on the glass

2nd time, Yurtz played 20min, we lost by 9, Yurtz was tied for 2nd highest +/- at -1 and we narrowed the rebounding deficit to 39-42.

I hope I'm wrong, though.

I'd venture that whichever team that plays better in the 2nd half will take this one.

Impressive victory against a solid Cava team with a core of explosive young talent: Mobley, Okoro, & Garland, all 22 or younger. Jarrett Allen, 24, is another talented player and they have depth with Cedi Osman and Caris LeVert. Also, freaking Kevin Love is playing at such a high level. I remember when people on realgm called his contract one of the worst in the nba. Compared against some, his deal doesn't look bad at all and, moreover, it's declining: 28.9m next season. And they have Sexton and old Rondo. I'm not saying I'd trade for him, but he should command value. Cavs would be smart to hold onto him and path themselves on the back. Cavs FO was right. Most Cavs fans on the T&T forum maintained this position and were often criticized. They were right though.

I think its a little bit of both, its those moments when we have those lulls/droughts in the offense were Lowry is just dribbling around in circles fishing for an assist and teams are going on a run that bother most of us. His poise is greatly appreciated, but sometimes he has the opening in the middle and would just hunt for the outlet pass instead of the easy and 1 he could get. The difference between a good pg and an Elite one is the ability to switch from pass first to scorers mentality as needed. reason the CP3 is so deadly is because of that very nature. Lowry was that guy in Toronto, but not here is what people are mostly complaining about.

And don't you ever doubt me again :x lol jk

But yeah. Jimmy may not have been enough for us to win, but I really don't think we look completely outclassed the way we did with him playing.

Jimmy's ability to be a force inside is huge because we don't really have any one else who can put pressure on the inside. Bam can't create his own shot reliably and has to be fed, so can be taken out the game more easily. Herro can score inside but he's more finesse and not a slasher. Jimmy is especially important when they start pressing our perimeter players like Herro too, because with no presence inside he doesn't have a release to force that pressure off.

We will really need Dipo and Jimmy to be our presence inside with their slashing/bully ball in the playoffs. Even though that sounds counterintuitive since they're perimeter players, they are necessary for our offensive balance.
