They're likely shopping Dalembert because he can be bought out for just $1.5m by July 8th (opening of FA).

There is a possibility he could be bought out by his new team if they're looking to cut salary / don't need him.
There is no consolation prize. Winning is everything.

You guys are quick to get rid of Turiaf. With a full offseason, he will be great for this team. For the price we're paying him and for the intangibles that he brings, he's bargain 1

The rumor on dalembert is that the Rockets have a draft deal in place with another team that will involve Dalembert. It appears he not on the market because he has already been bought.

Camby is old, Dalembert is a biatch. You keep the team guy that play with great heart 10 time out of 10.

I think Lamar Odom and Chris Kaman is number one and two on summer aquisitions.

I don't know how we'd get them, They will command too much $$. Kaman is too slow to play in our system. I'd love odom playing center for us = match up nightmares for opposing teams.

Odom
Lebron

Norfolk State basketball star Kyle O'Quinn has spent the past couple of months flying around the country, working out privately for 14 NBA teams and attending three group combines. All in preparation for next week's NBA draft.

During his senior year, O'Quinn was largely off the radar. But his big performance in Norfolk State's stunning March Madness upset of Missouri changed all that. Now he has leaped into the draft discussion and climbed steadily up the ladders of the mock drafts.

So much so that one prominent blog has him going in the first round to the Miami Heat, who are currently one win away from winning the championship. Could O'Quinn be teammates next year with LeBron James and Dwyane Wade? We shall see.

This guy has a 7'5 wingspan it seems.

^ Sounds like someone of the Joel Anthony/UD mold... this team does not like traditional centers I guess. Maybe their too tall, so their foot speed is too slow for our defense? Hell, Alonzo Mourning was 6 ft. 10. The only exceptions have been pretty much Chris Bosh and Shaq.

I know Kaman is a white boy but, you really dont understand Kamans game. I doubt we will be able to sign Kaman, but there might be a chance for a sign and trade, might. Lamar Odom, with his mental state last year i doubt he will get a solid contract from a legit team. He will not want to play for a bad team and Miami resurrected his career once and with the relationship he has with Riley he may want to resurrect it here again with a chance for a ring. Plus his wife career would take a big boost in Miami.

With how we played in this playoffs, im starting to wonder if Bosh can move to Center long term...we'll just need a strong PF that can block shots..damn, so many options. Spo and Riely have a lot of thinking to do..we can improve in a few different ways.

I'd bring Nash in. It would let Rio be a sixth man, and let Norris develop and learn from Nash and Rio another year without pressure.

And then draft a center.

A lot depends on who all retires though too. If JJ and Mike retire, we'll kind of need to go get Ray Allen. Though maybe that lets Terrell harris step up?

Oh and after last night Mike Miller gets a lifetime pass. If he doesn't retire, I don't want to see him get amnestied.

I think he's going to retire though. You couldn't go out with a better game than that.

james jones is retiring and mike miller will probably retire too. i wonder if terrell harris can be the legit back up 2-guard next year? i wouldn't be mad with him and norris cole wreaking havoc in the 2nd unit with bron directing traffic.

right now:

chalmers/cole
wade/harris
lebron/battier
? / haslem
bosh/joel

my priorities would be:
1- nash
2- kaman
3- ray allen
4- odom (i think he signs with clippers)
5- camby
6- kenyon martin

quite frankly, i don't want any other point guard than nash. if it's to take chauncey, andre miller, delonte west or kirk hinrich... i'd rather let cole and chalmers develop.

I'm thinking this too. There are no more dominant bigs. Bosh at center has been dynamite for us. We might be better off drafting a PF at this rate. It might make more sense than trying to draft a center. PEACE.

We already have a top PF (Bosh)
The best to ever play (LeBron)
Wade will be healthy too
Chalmers has shown that he is a top level point guard during the finals...unlike Westbrook his decisions aren't selfish and won't kill us. I'd take him over Westbrook 9 days a week because we don't need his offense from the point. He's been exposed as a one trick pony.

Draft a euro with our first and let him develop for a few years...

If they follow this pattern they'll win not two not three not four not five ...

I'm pumped!

For the most part I like this a lot. Not only do I think this scenario is actually realistic (not a pipe dream and we can probably make it happen financially) but it makes our team better.

Camby is OLD (38). But he still has good basketball left in him. He is still playing a lot and playing well. He played and started almost every game this past season and managed to get 9 rpg and 1.5 bpg in only 22 mpg. The added length, rebounding and defensive prowess will really add a new dimension to our defense. If this happens I would want just about all of our center minutes to be taken up by Camby and Bosh.

Then you add Ray Allen (healthy) to replace Mike Miller and we are set up nicely.

Obviously these 2 guys are short term rentals. But they make us deadly for next season at least.

Draft a big man and try to develop him for the future.

If Bosh is moved to center, do we recall Jarvis Varnado?

My only question is out of this list, who is staying?

Harris
Turiaf
Curry
Howard (probably retiring)
Pittman
Miller

Well, now that we've done that, I can finally entertain the ideas in this thread.
