Honestly...that would be a complete steal for Miami and if you say no that's your emotions taking over.

This will never happen though.

Lakers wouldn't even do that trade though lol Knowingly they already have Kobe... Wade off the bench? Ew lol.

either way - Even Heat wouldn't do it either imo - Just more of a family thing more then anything here, sounds cliche but kinda true. Wade holds a lot of Value in the Heat organization.

And me personally would not do it, Wade got a lot left in him still - The Heat are just a decent C/Big away alongside CB that can nab some boards and play some D to 3 peat.

Hell yes. Dwight is the biggest diva in the league, and wade is untouchable.

Family values aside. Would it improve the team? Think long-term...

Of course this never happens but Dwight is a 20/12+ defensive beast and you still have Bosh to space the floor.

It improves the team dramatically...and does so for the long term. You're going with complete emotions to say NO to that.

But of course you can still win with Wade as is.. a la 2013.

James Jones and Rashard Lewis both exercise options to return to Heat Both had previously told FOX Sports Florida they would

Shandel Richardson ‏@ShandelRich 5m
As expected, Rashard Lewis and James Jones exercise options to return. Jones said "I plan on being around a few years." Same with Rashard.

Both Shard and JJ are coming back.

Nice. Good bench depth, need to give lebron some more rest during the regular season next year. Plus, I think it helps ray make the decision to return.

Uh..is Spo gonna try actually playing him some time next year or is he gonna ride the bench all season

‏@MiamiHEAT

OFFICIAL: James Jones and Rashard Lewis have both exercised their player options for the 2013-14 season.

Ethan J. Skolnick‏@EthanJSkolnick

Interesting that Mike Miller's name didn't come up today, as a possible retention guy. Likely gone one way (trade) or another (amnesty).

I believe We'll get Allen and Birdman back too, Sadly it looks like mike ois gone.

Yes, yes I would object.

I would object too, however I would not object to a Chris Bosh for Dwight trade, and either would Riley. He already said that once when the Chris Bosh trade rumours were swirling a couple of years ago, he said something like unless we're offered Dwight Howard, Chris is staying.

I wouldn't have any problem with Riley picking up the phone to the Lakers and floating the idea of Sign and trading Dwight to us so that they get something back if he leaves! Dwight Howard would literally make us unstoppable, he doesn't need the ball do have a big impact on the game boards and defense wise.

Original quote, you don't think teams know the Heat's defense? Teams have special coaches that all they do is watch game tape of how Miami's defense reacts to certain situations lol.

Not really sad IMO, I was an advocate for him all along, but if the big 3 were to break up it'd likely be because we kept his contract on our books. We need to amnesty him, he's not lived up to it at all, he's had a couple good finals games but that's about it. Certainly not the impact I envisioned when we signed him.

I just heard we had a tryout for Trevor Mbakwe last week, that's great news for 2 reasons :

1) Guy is a beast rebounder, athletic, strong. could become the new young Haslem. We can use a player like that.

2) It shows we're thinking about buying a pick, Mbakwe is projected to go in the mid-sceond round area.

So if we amnesty MM, that means he can't return for the vet min right?

What about if he's traded, and then his new team buys out his contract?

And what if he retires, and then makes a comeback?

Mind = blown
Stop being so disrespectful.

That is shocking to me, JJ is a talented guy and gets zero playing time. I know the culture of this organization is great but this is a huge testament to it.

Yeah, I hope he retires so I don't have to feel too bad about amnestying him. He's gonna be 34 and injured with 2 rings...it's the right time to retire

I really hope Miller retires so we dont have to amnesty him. I do think hell retire, hes got 2 rings and his body barely held up this year. I also think he knows itll help the team as a whole if he steps down(as strange as it is to say that I think this team has that type of brotherhood built). I love how the Heat are a "family" organization and thats great, but when people like JJ and Shard get to ride the bench and never play and take a roster spot it drives me nuts. But I guess the other players like them around.

I really dont see any chance of Allen leaving, why would he when hes on the team with the best shot at winning next year. I know Birdman is coming back theres no way he leaves Miami, he loves this team. I wouldnt mind looking at Oden but with a non-guaranteed contract, maybe like a training camp invite to see what kind of shape hes in and how he can handle playing the type of play Miami will ask of him. If he can play sure, if not I dont want to do another Eddy Curry thing, also another PF would be nice so we dont have to destroy Battier again all year lol.

Indeed, that would be a more tempting offer.

I am 100% shocked Rashard Lewis is coming back. I thought he would be upset that he rode the pine last year.
