What are your thoughts on Rabb? We have a poster on the forums who's convinced he's the real deal. We've had Lauri vs Rabb debates before.

Thats not a debate in my opinion, that is extremely lopsided in Lauri's favor. I think he made a mistake by not declaring last year. Hes just a very limited player]. I look at Rabb as almost a slightly smaller Bobby Portis. Games arent exactly similar but they just look like good college players that are going to struggle to be solid rotation players in the NBA. I believe DX has you guys taking Rabb right now at 14 and I think thats way too high for Rabb. I was hoping to see a bigger leap in Rabb's game like using the 3 more but that hasnt really happened and his offense has really taken a step back this year. Dont see a lotto talent with him.

If youre asking D4L, hes stated before that hes not the best euro scout.

Heres a good recent video that highlights what he brings to the table:

He is pretty fleet of foot. I remember last year when I watched his video for the first time (after he was mocked in the top five), and I was blown away. Had the whole skill set tree working for him. Problem is he disappeared for a while and you couldn't find full games to watch to get an idea how those highlights actually reflected his play. I'm definitely interested.

Most recent Hartylights, he's gamble next to Giles territory imo

Read on Twitter

Would not mind a second rounder for a wing project, Semi Ojeyele, Josh Hart, Bacon maybe Brown. anibody tbh

If you're worried about his scoring, I wouldn't be. Jokic and Porzingis didn't score much the year they were drafted either. I think out of all the players we could draft in our range, Hartenstein has the highest potential.

In terms of pure ceilings Hartenstein & Giles are likely to be the two with the most potential. Giles will come with the injuries hanging over him, and perhaps a handful of games in the Tourney where he shows more than a faint glimpse of what he could be.

Of the two Isaiah will be the safer bet, and if he had been at college instead of Europe he would be getting just as much hype as Lauri, possibly more. I think we may even see him jump up out of our range (if we end up in the PO) as interviews and individual workouts start.

Having said that I still think that once Giles signs an agent he will progress like Turner did last year (improving him running style, to show there wasn't a longterm biomechanical issue) and show big improvements in a short time - I expect him to regain most of his athleticism after the season has ended and be ready for workouts. Then we'll hear about the Duke coaches playing safe with his role and minutes, and then he will wow a GM or two in individuals and end up going somewhere in the early double digits, possibly even pre-teens.

Entering our pick discussion:

Think he moves ahead of Collins for me.

Would be a great fit next to Hassan.

The possibility of getting Leaf at around 16 is the only thing keeps me keeps sane during our recent anti tank movement.

Guys like Williams, Hartenstein, Collins, Patton, Giles etc.. will not be coming here. We're not wasting a top 16 pick on someone to be Hassan's backup for 12 minutes a night for the next 4 years, nor are we drafting power forward who can't even stroke the 3 well at the college level. Spo won't even entertain that for a second.

I would package our potential 16th pick with Winslow and try to move into the top 10 for one of those studs. Its no coincidence that our scoring went thru the roof once all the bricklayers got hurt(McSob,Bustice,Jrich).

Williams, Hartenstein, Collins and Giles can all play PF and making 3's at the college level alone does not translate well. "Backups" can always be traded. No to Justise trade, they're multiple potential gems within this draft and no matter where you pick drafting's always based on luck.

Teams with multiple first round draft picks:

Portland (3 firsts)
Brooklyn
LA (if they get a top 3 pick)
Orlando
Utah

Those teams might be trade targets to acquire an extra pick.

I want a second round or undraftee wing project. I want a extra big and wing from draft

Interdastingly unimpressive wingspan but si I'm intrigued at least

If he decides to come out, seemingly interesting project

6'7 and built like a legit linebacker and explosive around the rim. Doesnt have much game off the dribble but I think he can end up being what many were hoping Reggie Bullock couldve been a few years back for the Clippers. Very disappointed that K couldnt find playing time for him when he was at Duke.
