Been digging into this kid's game film a bit more. If we move Herro, I'd like to see this kid take his developmental spot. He can really put it in the basket.

Onu is very intriguing, Twix. That skillset screams modern big, and would be exactly what Bam needs. Boston has worked him out.

Per wiretap, lots of teams want in on the Cade action. If Detroit trades out I'd expect it would be for Mobley, as referenced in the article. Would be a good chance for them to get a great young player in Mobley who fits their roster to a tee. Now I know Cade has been billed as the hands down number one prospect, but I just don't see it that way. If another team falls in love with him and wants to pay to get him, Detroit could really win this draft.

The path to Mobley goes through Houston. Any deal for Cade will need to be a 3-way where Rockets get something they want. So what team has enough to incentivise Detroit to move down 1 & Houston to move out of #2? OKC is a definite possibility, and NOP could do something like that as well.

However, if Houston is convinced Green is their guy, then Cavs take Mobley and have a nice balance after trading Sexton for Herro (Garland/Herro/Okoro/Mobley).

Sounds like the #1 pick could be had this year. Still expect to see OKC try to move up closer to #1 in hopes of combining that and some other assets to get that #1 pick. I guess it just matters on what players Detroit really would want at the top of the draft to decide far down they could drop to get a guy they want and a bunch of assets.

So the Rockets like the #1 & the Pistons like the #2? If they were kids they’d just swap and both feel good about their shiny new toys.

Instead, it becomes a stupid pissing contest where the one on top wants to get something out of being 1 spot higher.

This happens all the time, Boston wanted Tatum, thought he would drop to 3 so they traded the 1st pick to Philly for #3 that year and what ended up being the #14 pick in 2019. Why pick Tatum at #1 when you might be able to get another asset or 2 out of draft pick.

Detroit could end up trading with Cleveland if the price is right. Is Detroit happy with Mobley OR Green? If so, Cleveland would probably pay the price.

I'd move Herro, Precious, KZ and whatever they want for any of Cade, Mobley, or Green. Those three have some pretty high ceilings.

The Heat have 5.6 million allocated to buy into the second round. Teams like OKC and New Orleans may be interested in selling one of their 3 seconds for some cash. Who would we target?

SF/PF Isiah Livers from Michigan is a very interesting name we should be on the look out for. He’ll be available in the second due to a broken foot suffered before the tournament he’s recovering from. Would it surprise anyone that we would target a Michigan kid coached by Juwan Howard. Here goes his draft notes

A versatile, tough, hard-nosed forward who plays a highly efficient game and always makes the right play. Livers isn’t a primary scorer-type or one to get lots of headlines but he’s an indispensable part of a great Michigan team and projects as a glue-guy at the NBA level.

Livers is a big time shot maker who has great shot selection and doesn’t force the issue. He’s deadly from 3pt range, hitting over 40% from downtown for three straight seasons. He’s got a smooth, easy release on his jumper that project well to the NBA level. He’s also a great FT shooter and has the potential to be a 50/40/90 guy.

He made the right choice to go back to school. He had a rough pre draft camp. UCLA will be contenders again.
