I suspect that some fans just assume that if Pat makes a move it's the right one. "In Pat We Trust". I just look at the Lowry and Tucker contracts and their ages and see an even smaller window to win with Butler. But what can we do?

My major problem with the moves so far is less us going more “win now” and more that we’re still not a good team, even next year. Does anyone think this team is making it out of the first round?

Sure if we secure a high enough seed. But we're going to need multiple breaks to make it to the conference finals.

Isn't a good look for who? Clearly had no interest in bringing him back, and were never going to find a sign and trade partner. So let him sign where he wants without the QO scaring teams off.

Well, we have a backup PG vacancy and had the ability to match any offer. If nothing else you bring him back as a suitable reserve and look for a deal later.

If that's all it took we should have kept him. We kinda need bodies. We don't have a backup 2 , 3 or 4 and the options are drying up. Hopefully our scouting team can find a gem from the g league or the summer league to fill one of those spots

For the min it's a no brainer. He can backup both Butler and Lowry
