Another late second round prospect. Only 165 pounds. I do see we have worked out plenty of 2's lately with a defensive profile. Could be prepping for the possible loss of Dipo to free agency.

Explosive wing/two guard. Probably the highest rated prospect we have worked out to date. Tankathon has him going 29th which puts him on the radar at 27 without a trade back. 6'5 with a 6'11 wingspan. Clearly looking to upgrade our two spot with more impactful length. Also serves as Dipo insurance if he gets an offer we don't want to match on the open market. Notre Dame connection with Quinny.

Spoke to a new hire here at my company yesterday when I stumbled on this thread who happened to graduate from Michigan 2 months ago, and is an avid basketball fan if he watched him play. He said this kid is legit scary how agile he was, the stronger centers definitely kept him off the low block but his agility was visible and he was able to get by most centers. He had a very quick second jump on tip ins, and had a knack for tipping balls from players trying to make passes into the inside. Said he didn't shoot many jumpers but when he did he was very accurate and smooth. He made strong drives to dunk over anyone in his way and looked very similar to Kevin Garnett with his play style. Definitely needs to get stronger however, he would get pushed out of the middle by the beefier/thicker dudes playing the PF/Center spots.

Diabate is fun to watch move. Needs a season or two though. Not sure we can find a guy who is ready to go though that offers the same upside.

Wesley looks interesting, albeit his % are pretty gross.

Still think Roddy would be worth a look. In Heat shape, he could be a nice addition:

He's at 11.6% body fat. Not too far off the Heats conditioning requirements.

I think Lowry was at 50% last year.

Newest bleacherreport mock has us taking MarJon Beauchamp at 27

Wesley went 24
Lidell went 18

Moore, LaRavia, Roddy, Koloko, Keels and Baldwin were still there

of the names available, LaRavia would be my pick. At minimum he's a backup 4 and a good fit next to Bam.

Bigger Strus? Maxi Kleiber ++?

Anything we pick at our range will not be polished enough to fit our current window of winning with Jimmy. Its a project, that will take a few seasons to nurture. Lets go with a Big, PF/Center we can stash and polish for a few years until they are ready to ascend to either a natural back up role or key role in our lineup once the Jimmy's, PJ's, Lowry's of the team are no longer here.

I see they have Dallas taking Jovic one before, so he's in the convo if things hold to form. But I like Beauchamp

Based off our workout list thus far it's almost as if we are telegraphing a move into the second round. Wesley has been the only projected late first prospect we have worked out. Most of the other names have ranged on big boards into the 40's and 70's.

Honestly at 27 I'd rather them pick the guy they want than risk trying to trade down into the 2nd and potentially miss out. I think about how the Warriors got Poole. They had a mid 2nd round pick that year and he was projected to be there but took him at 28 because they liked his game.

Possibly, but its also the same scouting group that had Kz Okpala graded as a lottery pick

Completely agree. I see the late first flooded with rock solid talent. My only concern is that we are not working out some of the names I feel like we should be working out in that area. Wesley has been the only one rated in that zone. Maybe saving the best prospects for last.

Nice one and we have legit interest.

Looks tailor made for the corner three ball. A must for any 4 that plays on this team.

Shot mechanics look pure. Love how he talks about switching on defense. I'm impressed

Would you draft Chet if we have the number 1 pick?

The guy looks weird to me, I don't know if his body can handle the NBA long-term. His game is not jaw-dropping.

I wouldn't even draft him in the top 4. I would take Smith, Ivey, and Banchero over him. He's very Kristaps Prozingish. I don't trust him or his body to hold up to NBA rigors.

He scares me with his physical makeup. I'm trying to think of a low post player who was built like him who was successful. I can't think of one off the top of my head.

For the current Heat team, it'd be Jabari by a mile. Then I'd take Ivey.
