No way we trade Lowry and Duncan together without giving up multiple picks or receiving negative value players on the return. Both those guys are Negative value to other teams, neither one is an expiring, they are too expensive to buy out, they currently do not produce, one is out of shape and injury riddled, the other cannot stay on the floor due to his defensive limitations, and when he isn't making 3pts your burning cash dollars into an open camp fire.

Fantasy trade?

Lets have some fun

Heat Receive - Donovan Mitchell and Harrison Barnes
Heat Give - Duncan Robinson, Omer Yurtseven, Tyler Herro, Gabe Vincent, Kyle Lowry, pick 27 of this years draft, a 2025 1st round pick, a 2028 protected 1st round pick, a 2028 2nd round pick

Kings receive - Duncan Robinson, Omer Yurtseven, and a 2028 2nd round pick
Kings Give - Harrison Barnes

Clippers receive - Kyle Lowry, Udoka Azubuike
Clippers give - Marcus Morris Jr., Luke Kennard, 2025 2nd round pick

Jazz receive - Tyler Herro, Gabe Vincent, Marcus Morris Jr, Luke Kennard, pick 27 of this years draft, Heat 2025 1st round pick, Heat protected 2028 1st round pick, and a Clippers 2025 2nd round pick, 1 Heat Pick Swap Options
Jazz Give - Donovan Mitchell and Udoka Azubuike

Heat lineup

Mitchell/Rose, Rondo, or Dragic
Strus/Oladipo
Jimmy/Martin
Barnes/PJ
Bam/Dedmon

Kings lineup

Fox/Mitchell
Ivey/DiVincenzo
Duncan/Holiday
Sabonis/Metu
Holmes/Yurtseven

Clippers lineup

Lowry
Jackson/Powell
George/Mann
Kawhi/Batum
Zubac/Azubuike

Jazz

For the fun of this they make a separate trade

Utah Sends - Rudy Gobert and Bojan Bogdanovic
Utah Receives - Terry Rozier, John Collins, Onyeka Okongwu, Kevin Huerter

Hawks Send - John Collins, Onyeka Okongwu, Kevin Huerter, Clint Capela
Hawks receive - Rudy Gobert and Bojan Bogdanovic

Charlotte Sends - Terry Rozier
Charlotte Receives - Clint Capela

Utah would then probably need to really blow it up and move Clarkson and Conley

Riles needs to work his magic and somehow keep Herro.

We shouldn't give up Herro for a headcase like Kyrie.

Lowry + a pick or they can keep him in NY.

thats not happening. Surely BRKN aint that dum. Kyrie, regardless if you like the guy or not, is a legit superstar... that has in fact, destroyed curry everytime they have went up against one another.

Would feel more appropriate to pay Kyrie $30 mil per year in his prime than 36 year old Lowry the same.

I get the dysfunctional Kyrie takes. Lot of substance there.

I also get the past his prime Lowry not playing games in the playoffs being a big problem.

Irving is going to want 5 years and a lot more then 30 per. Lowry at least is a free agent contract next year.

Wanting and getting are two different things. If anybody is crazy enough to pay him max money with his recent history and the uncertainty that comes with him, then good for them. If he gets top dollar in free agency or in a sign trade I will be surprised.

I cant recall what I wanted Lowry for, but I suppose it was for Iggy money at most. Paying him $15 mil per and not trading one of young guys for him would have made sense. Instead we pay him big money so that he can play in 10 of our 18 playoff games and lose 6 of those 10. Got damn!

my next fantasy trade that doesn't include the Heat

Portland gets - Jerami Grant and Lu Dort
Portland gives - pick 7

Sacramento gets - pick 7, Nuggets 2023 1st round pick (from OKC)
Sacramento gives up - pick 4

Detroit gets - pick 12
Detroit gives - Jerami Grant

Oklahoma City gives - Lu Dort, pick 12, Nuggets 2023 1st round pick
Oklahoma City gets - pick 4

happening here -

Portland trades pick 7 to OKC for pick 12 and Lu Dort
Portland uses pick 12 to send to Detroit for Jerami Grant

OKC uses pick 7 and the 2023 1st (may need to add a couple more 2nd round picks) to move up from 7 to 4 with Sacramento.

Kyrie didn’t want to play with LeBron. Why would he want to play with Jimmy who is just as demanding?

Duncan
Strus
Gabe
Tyler
Highsmith
Yurt
Combined allows us to trade for $37,300,933 in salary.

Which is enough for a Beal or Kyrie sign and trade that doesn't require Lowry. Only thing about that is we'll be agreeing to give either player the super max which at this point I say just do it.

The trade will leave us about 22 million from the hard cap with 7 roster spots to fill.

Use what we can of the Non-Tax to resign PJ.
Resign Dipo on another prove it deal. I'm sure he can get more but he's turned a ton before.
The rest on the minimum.

Pistons just trade Grant for #7 while Sacramento forgets about OKC and Kings.

Portland doesn't want Grant for 7, which is why picking up 12 helps them out + they get Dort

Because Jimmy has literally said he doesn’t want to score lol. Our biggest need in these playoffs (other than remembering how to shoot) was an elite scorer who can create in the half court and get buckets. Kyrie is about as good as it gets in this league at that and his value is as low as it’s ever been.
