I think because McCain isn't a true PG. He's kinda the Herro/Rozier type of undersized shooting guard. With both those guys here, drafting McCain probably would have been redundant.

If there’s one thing that we don’t need, it’s more small bodies. When we do get a PG, they need to be in the Lonzo Ball mold.
