League has to move fast on this and say with the new information provided they were not privy too i in prior investigation and void Rozier.

From a simple legal and basic common sense standpoint it makes little sense for the League to do this. At this point this will be litigated in the court. It is important to remember that right now all we have is an arrest not a conviction. Terry will be off the books at the end of this season before this even goes to trial making all of this a moot point from the Heats perspective.
May take years before it goes to trial. I wouldn't be surprised if eventually the nba players are dropped. The company i worked for that was indicted by the FBI initially indicted 50 people. Two years later only 5 people were indicted.

I would wait and see. Because if Rozier is dropped from the indictment and his contract was voided prior to being dropped it can cause a lot of legal issues.

Charlotte should be forced to give our pick back for this grub.

We have Wemby at home, temu Wemby and spo won't even play him lol. I noticed in that monstar named Wemby's highlights that Spurs' coach paired him up with Luke Kornet who is 7'1 during various stretches during the game. Meanwhile, heat refuse to play more than one 6'9+ guy at time and or opts to have multiple <6'8 dudes in the front court.

Still can't get over it, Spo kinda accidentally discovered or really implemented the small ball scheme due to Bosh's injury in '12, moving Bron/Battier to the 4 and it was effective but that was 13 years ago. League has adapted, multiple teams are running 3 man 6'10-7'1 frontcourts or hell have their whole lineup be over 6'10 ala Rockets and Spo still believes downsizing is the way to go after years of getting crushed on the boards/interior.

Both finals losses, '20 and '23 the opposition partly won because Heat were too small and got bullied inside. Years later, the Heat are gifted a stud athletic center and instead of letting him play through mistakes as we have the youngest roster we've had in decades... STILL has an ultra thin leash on him, tentative to play him consistently.

Just a little detail. Jontay Porter took a plea deal July 2024. He hasn't even been sentenced to anything. He has been walking free since. He scheduled to see a sentencing judge Dec 24th. I wouldn't be surprised if it's pushed back again. Most likely he will testify and get a very weak sentencing judgement. I am curious to how all this plays out.

Sure but early snitch gets the worm. Going back to my former employer Indictment in a 250 million dollars indictment. The owner made billions in his fraud, he was allowed to get a plea deal against my former boss who only got his normal salary and job security out of the fraud. The owner got a few years in prison and my former boss got 7 years. My former boss was a loyal idiot but man he got bent over bad.

Spo has never valued rebounding like most coaches did in the past. Pat once said he had talks with Spo about valuing rebounding.

Not to make the comparisons, because Donald Sterling is vile.. but this story is right on par with that as far as how damaging it can be for the brand and Adam Silver needs to provide answers soon.

And what Heat fans and the organization want to know is, did the league and the Hornets know about this back in 2023.

Wait is this true cause others here have said we knew and waited for the investigation to clear.

TBH going off memory I’m pretty sure we found out about the investigation when he was already with the Heat but I could be wrong.

I recalled a few months back when the story came out that i felt we need our reporters to do their jobs once media day opens and ask all questions regarding Rozier, including what did the Heat know before they acquired him.

And then the NBA cleared him.. and still, i felt we should have had those questions asked.

Our journalists are useless though. No balls. Afraid to get barred by the Heat.

I hope it is true they had no idea. Now we need to know what did the Hornets and the league office knew.

And if they want us to cooperate, we can keep our mouths shut for a little draft rigging like they did with Dallas.

I also believe I saw this but maybe it was a false report or maybe were trying to circle back to get something done. I mean if we legit didn’t know, we got fuxked over bad and deserve something out of this outside of cap relief. If the Hornets withheld the info we deserve the pick back, that only seems fair
