Lebron is gone. There's no rationale for him not to squash this back to cleveland hype if he isn't going back. It would destroy the image and reputation he has rebuild. I don't think he's that stupid. IF he is, he's stupid and will be destroyed in the media once again.

I think the Heat's fault was first saying they would keep Mike, then letting him go. And Lebron saw Wade's rapid decline. Those 2 things together I think ultimately will push Lebron to leave the Heat (if he does).

I think the bigger deal was Wade's decline. He came to play with 2 other stars. But him seeing the Heat accomodating Wade and rested him for 1/4 o f the season and he still bombed in the Finals must have pissed Lebron off. Numerous reports said he was extremely frustrated.

And he was basically a one man show for most of the season. He didn't come to Miami to be a one man show.

IF Wade was healthy (at least 20+/5/5 every game), Lebron would have signed ASAP.

Of course it was a big deal.

Arison and Riley sold LeBron, Wade, Bosh, Miller, Haslem, Battier, Ray Allen, Birdman, Rashard, James Jones, etc. on coming to Miami for lesser pay and smaller roles than they could have elsewhere. They asked all of these guys to sacrifice money to win.

Then when it was time for Arison (net worth of $6 billion) to sacrifice relative chump change to keep non-producing players, he overruled Riley (who repeatedly said he didn't want to amnesty Miller) and counted his money. He cut a great teammate, a clutch performer, a guy who took less to come to Miami, and a guy LeBron personally recruited to the team for no reason other than to save himself less money than the Big 3 sacrificed. That **** doesn't fly. I think any trust and loyalty LeBron may have felt toward Arison and the Heat went out the window with that move.

Our front office and sometimes even fans try to build a team with analytics, and that has always been wrong. I remember some fans here said Miller barely made an impact on the first three rounds of the playoffs his last time here and that it doesn't matter if he's here or not, blah blah blah.

Well, Lebron James likes him, and wants him on his team. so it certainly does matter.
