Why would you count them out. Leonard for DeRozan was a perfect substitution. The reason people never took Toronto serious because they didnt have a real star on the roster. Now they do with perfect VETERAN complimentary pieces and depth around Leonard. The one question would be coaching.

not enough offense for a top tier contender imo.

I think the fact that a third of the league tanked last year skewed their wins number.

Bottom of the playoffs? For the East the 76ers are a wild card, depends on Simmons development. Belinelli was a huge lost, he was a glue guy role player. He was important to making that system work around Simmons. The rest are a crap shoot; Heat, Pacers, Wizards, Pistons, Bucks

For the West, I think Houston will drop off, that was their last chance. Still will finish a strong 3rd seed. The key for Houston would be how well Melo develops in their system by April. I think it still will be real hard for Melo to handle being the number 3 or 4 FGA guy on a team. I think in order for him to be comfortable he had to be at least the number 2 or 3 FGA guy. After that it will be toss up between the Spurs, Pelicans, and Trailblazers. Then it will be a battle between Utah, Lakers, Timberwolves and Nuggets for the final two spots.

Agree with this, I think people are sleeping on the Rockets. They're gonna tear it up this year imo.

Their offense improves a lot when adding Green and Leonard. And their defense improves and they gotten bigger. That is a huge improvement across the board. They may not be an uptempo team but that doesn't mean anything as far as wins and loses.
