I can be your Herro baby

I can be the asset that gets you Russ and Beal

I will stand with you for the summer

Just watching some of Herro's highlights from summer league has me drooling. Looks like JJ Reddick. Just Summer league obviously but still.

He’s barely watching if he got a JJ Reddick comparison from summer league.

I'm trying to detach myself from Herro because it seems inevitable we'd trade him for Westbrook. Just when our FT shooting woes could have been fixed. Dude will be a FORCE off the bench for someone, if he doesn't get to start on another team.

We shouldn't sleep on Nunn either! Excited to see more of him too.

Nunn looks like a Waiters replacement man. I can't see us re-signing Waiters even if we don't trade him. Nunn is a straight up gunner but after the 2nd game I believe, I saw more of his passing ability. He can really shoot the 3 ball too. No wonder we signed him for 2 years lol.

It's really not inevitable. Riley really went above and beyond defending the Herro pick and talking up the players coming out of his alma mater. I think this is one pick that's near and dear to Riley. I think he put in way too many man hours just to trade his hand picked selection in this years draft. Herro is making him look like a genius right now.

If Herro was at risk of being dealt, he wouldn't be playing in Summer League. We clearly have an agreement in principle with him and his agent, and it's just hard cap issues that are stopping him from being signed. I really don't see him going anywhere.

Oh for sure, I get it with the Wildcat connection. Winslow is a Dukey, the Arison's love Duke. Bam and Herro are Wildcats...

Riley really wanted Winslow though, they all did that draft night when he slipped to 10. I personally feel like Winslow hasn't developed like they wanted. Herro has the shooting mechanics we wish Winslow could develop. He doesn't have the wingspan or defense, but this is a shooters league. We're even forcing Winslow to be a PG... its fun and all to watch but it just shows we don't have confidence of him in his natural position. Winslow's ceiling was Butler and we got him. They would be great defensively next to each other but offensively...? lol

BAH! I just want to see what develops. It will truly show who we have trust in. But as much as I can see Riley liking Herro, I mean he isn't even signed yet! There are cap complications and more to it, but you secure your rookie if you believe in him. Maten needs to be cut, there will always be hustling bigs. SHOOTERS!! are hard to come by.

I wouldn't say that, summer league is for showcasing purposes as well. Around the league it's now known Herro is BALLIN'!

Herro's agent wouldn't let him play if he didn't have a contract lined up. Only way I see him playing is we have an "in principle" agreement, and Herro and his agent are working with us to ensure he gets signed up once these cap issues subside. Perhaps he'll get a little premium for his troubles.

Interesting. I wasn't aware Herro's agent would have that much power over the team that drafted him. Playing without a contract is weird, it is possible there is an agreement. It's like he's working for free  It's making sense now to me that this could be true.

Is that really protocol? Can't think of any times that has happened

I remember Wiggins playing SL despite the shroud of doubt, but he had his contract and only the clout of rumors holding him back
