Some fans don't realize this. I obviously don't know what percentage of his wealth is tied up in Carnival stock or in the Heat or other investments ... but it 100000000% can't help that Carnival stock is trading at a 30 year low. The value of the company is ~ 1/5 the value it had when we signed Wade, Lebron, and Bosh. Micky was cutting corners back when it was doing much better. I can't imagine him being willing to pay any amount of tax at this point.

I think Arison is doing ok still. As for the Heat investment, $32.5 million original cost has yielded an investment of over $2B, though undoubtedly a new owner would have to offer almost 4. There are of course minority owners too, including Pat Riley, but by any measure the Heat have been a golden investment.

Of course he's doing OK.

No one is going to weep because a billionaire becomes slightly less wealthy, assuming that he even has. But if the Heat has become a larger source of his income, then he's going to be less likely to treat it as a toy rather than a business.

If Cain continues like this while our team is having a hard time finding trade pieces, Highsmith can be traded. Two years younger and more talented than him. Preference would be Cain.

Also why isn't Days playing? Is he injured?

I think we can find a roster spot for Cain without cutting Highsmith, who the Heat have obviously invested time and effort. Give Cain Garrett's two way contract and be done with it.

Have Days and Dru Smith compete for that last two way.

i know that scouting is working wonders, creating competition makes for a better team, Pat and spo have hands full... but take it easy guys with your expectations for new players all we really need is a consistent offensive output

...I like where we have been defensively in the past few years, you could almost say that we have " over done it"

... I know that defense is supposed to "win championships"... but take into consideration...

the only time we had a great offensive team since LeBron left, was when we got to the finals

This, Garrett had his chance. I think Days gets the 2nd spot, we actually have a need for someone of his position.

We were too confident for our own good lol. We didn’t want to risk more injury to Tyler because we wanted him ready for the finals

If bam isn't given I'm more offensive roll this season, I think he will ask for a trade

I think it’s very clear he’s being given a bigger role there

Pushed off and benefitted from a non call.

I would like to see him either take the outside angle and use his left hand to finish, or spin/euro step back to middle of the paint and finish strong. These are moves that Bam needs to develop to have a chance at becoming an elite offensive player.

Guess Simmons should get in the weight room.

It’s a work in progress, he wasn’t going to come out and instantly average 30 and have KDs scoring package. He’s shown very good signs these first 2 preseason games and has shown to have good touch off the dribble and catch.
