You should have your own Lillard thread.

Aaaaaaaaand I just saw your post above mine after I posted this.

I think Herro + Duncan for Lillard works salary wise. Also think Herro + Lowry for Lillard and filler also works.

Actually don’t think Dame’s value will be unreasonably high. He’s turning 33 and the one team with a ton of assets who would typically be in on a player like this (the Knicks) already has a small point guard. Again this is an offseason convo and it really comes down to whether Lillard and the Trailblazers want to part ways. If they do then we should jump on it. If not, we move on as defending champs

I like this take. I thought he was 30 for some reason. 33? Yikes.

Damian Lillard signed a 4 year / $176,265,152 contract with the Portland Trail Blazers, including $176,265,152 guaranteed, and an annual average salary of $44,066,288. In 2023-24, Lillard will earn a base salary of $45,640,084, while carrying a cap hit of $45,640,084 and a dead cap value of $45,640,084.

That is a very large salary to pay when he's 36 and I already bitch about how we pay Lowry 30 mil for the little he gives us (that's before the playoffs. Now he's a good asset to control the bench offense and closing group in the playoffs and has hit some big time shots).

To be fair he’s worlds better than Lowry ever was. We’ll be in on him and we’ll be either his preferred team or one of the couple teams on his list regardless of what anyone else in here wants to say about it

Blazers need to keep 3 and get scoot to replace Lillard. It all makes way too much sense.

main issue is - herro doesn't make sense with Simmons and scoot

The man, himself!

Eventually, maybe, a Lilliard thread, but I think for now, until we know what he wants to do, we'll probably concentrate more on the series going on right now.

Don't do it Miami, let them make their money somewhere else! Just go get that big vet scorer who can shoot 3s and find some new talent.

I don't think Miami has the assets to get Lillard. The only way I see Miami getting Lillard is if the Blazers choose to take less and honor Lillard's request to get to Miami.

I'd assume it'd be Lowry, Herro, Oladipo, Jovic, this year's pick and and 3-4 more picks/swaps.

Miami could sign CP3, re-sign Strus, Vincent, Zeller, and Love:

Bam / Zeller / Yurt
Love / Martin
Butler / Robinson
Strus / Vincent / Highsmith
Lillard / CP3

They’ll send Lillard literally wherever he asks regardless

I despise this Lillard talk while we're in the middle of the f*cking NBA Finals.
If u don't want 2b here, the way things work, u don't like it, then don't b here. U have 2 stand on something. If Miami ain't standing on something, they become alot of these organizations trying 2 find their identity. This is the culture, bro -Wade

Preach. Found this out after I broke both my left limbs. Went from "are you at the club? I want to get in" to crickets. Cleaned out my contact list.

Just replying to my own post after Strus and Vincent gave Miami 2 points as the starting backcourt in the NBA finals.

An expiring Siakam should be the primary target. Herro + 18 + ‘27 unprotected or lightly protected 1st probably gets them listening.

They can probably forget about those "15M" dollar deals now. I think we can move on from Strus regardless of how cheap he may be.

Do we have permission to talk about Lillard yet or will the lack of focus on an Internet forum cost the Heat a championship?
