We did S&T in 2010 because it facilitated them taking discounts. We could give them less in year 1 because, with a S&T, we could give them bigger raises and longer deals. But under the new CBA, you can't do that anymore.

No, they get 1 more pick from us. It's top-10 protected in 2015, top-10 protected in 2016, and unprotected in 2017. So either they get a mid/late 1st rounder sometime in the next 2 years, or just get whatever the pick is in 2017
