I thought Dorell was generating a lot of interest? No news at all ever since he finished his Chinese season. Maybe we had a wink wink deal and he's willing to wait 'til we can sign? But then again, we already have JJ and Flakka waiting on the wings

I think we sign one of Webber/Wright in the end if I had to guess

Probably 8 days, if we want to sign two players. According to Albert from HeatHoops we have 8 player-days. The end of the season is April 13.

http://heathoops.com/2016/03/is-avoiding-the-tax-worth-watching-quality-free-agents-pass-by/

With just $46,106 of room below the tax threshold, and each new contract counting $5,572 per day against the tax, the Heat will be able to offer such contracts for a total of no more than eight days. The Heat roster therefore needs to remain at 13 players until just prior to the end of the regular season.

If the Heat were to choose to sign only one player, it could do so the full eight days prior to the end of the regular season, on April 6th. With two players, the Heat would be able to employ any combination of eight days of salary – whether that be the first signing with seven days left in the regular season and the second signing on the very last day, each signing with four days left in the regular season, or any other combination that totals to no more than eight days.

So we can sign one player April 7 and one player April 13, OR sign one player April 6.

Take a look at our schedule:

Tuesday, April 5 we play Detroit at home.
Thursday, April 7 we play Chicago at home.
Friday, April 8 we play Orlando in Orlando.
Sunday, April 10 we play Orlando at home
Tuesday, April 12 we play Detroit away.
Wednesday, April 13, we play Boston away.

Any potential player will likely not play until training with the team. On a back-to-back, you won't have a heavy practice on April 7. It's more likely a potential player travels with the team on Friday and integrates with the team on April 9. This may be when TJ gets involved too.

The only reason to sign Briante on April 7 is if another team claims him the same way we've been discussing.

I think I read somewhere that the Heat never really had too much interest in Wright. Maybe the interest was from his side?

Josh Richardson is probably my favorite player on this current Heat team right now. A tough-nosed, hard worker, a typical blueprint Heat player.

Cousins is suspended for 1 game and won't play against Miami.

Sacramento up by 14 screws up an inbounds with 4 seconds to play in the fourth quarter. Rondo and Cousins are both assessed technical fouls.

We've moved on from our past. No more Beas, no more Dorell. Ships have sailed.
If u don't want 2b here, the way things work, u don't like it, then don't b here. U have 2 stand on something. If Miami ain't standing on something, they become alot of these organizations trying 2 find their identity. This is the culture, bro -Wade

damn man, are we that bad that we want to depend on luck and players missing games!? :-?

If we were 'good enough' we would want to play each team at full strength and beat them. We won't learn anything by having everything easy.

"It's never easy, no matter where you play on the road, you have to deal with a lot of different emotions and the home team making runs at you, playing well, and sometimes the game will just turn on you and you have to show the fortitude to be able to get back to your game."

This f*ckin guy, Erica. He seems to know enough to expect the unexpected but still doesn't fully equip his team w/ the right motivation to inspire a fight when opponents attack back. :banghead:

"That's what happens on the road," Spoelstra said. "Sometimes you have to expect the unpredictable. Then you have to show the grit."

The only grit you have as a coach is the sh*t stains on your underwear.

"We have to move on," Spoelstra said. "The road only gets tougher. The road is real. It doesn't matter who you play, the road is real. And so we'll move on to Sacramento and get up for that one and hopefully have a better performance."

Hopefully have a better performance? you p*ssy! how about you DEMAND a better performance! #thisf*ckinguy

"We had our time to make our mistakes," he said. "Hopefully this loss doesn't come back to hurt us later. We haven't clinched a playoff berth yet. We have to keep our foot on the pedal until the season is over."

Well Kade Wade, our fearless leader.....has that pedal been broken for most of the season? surely it should be fixed by now it's almost the PO's :o

-- Can a team playing for the lottery really want the ball more?

Yes Ira, we are talking about the Heat, whom w/ the help of Hoestra, has built these soft habits over time vs terrible teams like the Lakers. Yes, a wack team like the Lakers can want the ball more than the Miami Heat. It's been a consistent part of our identity.

Well April isn't going so well - and we've only played the worst team in the league.
I remember when the Dolphins were perennial contenders

Oh yeah

I just watched the Lakers game as live and my brain clearly wasn't working.
