20m to be a 4-5 best player who may or may not even be getting end of game minutes is fiscally irresponsible, especially so with the new upcoming cap rules.

Stars are going to be seeing 60-70M contracts in the near future, I don't think 20M'S for Grant is irresponsible. He's definitely worth around that range imo

Yep, and it would be great if Lowry could finally get his cookie monster behind in shape this season for one last go.

And who knows, if they win the chip, he could be brought back on a team friendly deal to finish out his career.

If taking on Simmons is what it takes to get it done, it also means someone is taking Duncan from us which is a year longer. Simmons as a giant expiring next year after playing on a championship caliber team in our culture is not a terrible piece next offseason

Corner shooting is the key area of seperation but Highsmith seemed to shoot a good percentage in limited playoff mintues this past season (I'd have to check to confirm though)

Small sample size but Highsmith shot 8-16 (50%) from three during the playoffs this past season

Grant shot 25-53 (45%) from three during the playoffs.

Seriously, screw portland and screw ben simmons reclamation projects... We have our young core and we deserve guys like ja Morant for these hauls, not soon to be washed Lillards although, hey, he's a great player and we would expand his longevity here
