Duncan has been awful this preseason. Orlando Robinson too has looked pretty bad.

Nice showing from Hampton.

It's probably going to be a long season from a lack of talent. Two way past prime players in Lowry & Love are starting for us.

Duncan 0/6
Duncan 3/8
Duncan 2/5
Duncan 1/6
Duncan 0/2

6 Made Threes in 110 total mins

Swider 5/9
Swider 3/12
Swider 1/3
Swider 3/8
Swider 1/3

13 Made threes 100 total mins

Swider should be a lock as well. Let him share the floor with Bam and Jimmy and he'll get more open shots.

Not a believer in Swider. I think Duncan should be fine once Jimmy is back. Jimmy Herro and Bam can create looks for Duncan. But yea, so far he has been terrible that’s for sure

I know he hasn’t even played a full season yet, but I really hope 3J doesn’t turn out to be an injury-proned player after his college, summer league, and now preseason have now been shortened due to various nagging ones.

Alright fam… it is time…

It is…
Herro revenge tour time.
Bam the go to scorer/DPOY time.
Butler MVP season time.
JJJ ROY campaign time.
Bulk Jovic, the real Nikola time.
Swider/Duncan rise of the new splash bros time.
RJ Hampton breakout season time.
Cain you believe it time.
Bryant, the backup big of our dreams time.
Richardson, the return of Rook 2 time.
Martin, the true finals mvp time.
Highsmith stole prime PJ Tucker’s + Haslem’s mojo time.
ORob summer time was not a fluke time.
Lowry/Love, the steady vets time.
Miami Heat, the alpha underdogs time.

We are going to have a long season full of good times and fun basketball to watch! I can’t wait to still upset the Celtics/Bucks despite their big summer moves.

Disclaimer: I am not, at all, being a super fanboy homer at this time.
All of these things will happen, because it is the way.

Stay tuned.

Jovic was actually running a ton of point guard in that second half against the Rockets. Maybe Spo sees him as a PG?

Lol love the optimism but there is not a chance in hell that JJJ will be ROY with the amount of eyes and mainstream media around Wemby and the Spurs (rightfully so).

Shhh… homer fanboy does not accept your analysis of the situation. With that said, I’ll tweak it:

*JJJ ROY runner up campaign time.

Season could honestly go a few ways. Could be like last year where it was green prospects and overpaid role players hence Heat struggling during the regular season & barely getting into the playoffs. Or we could have multiple breakout guys that help us to 50+ wins. Hopefully there’s no giant letdowns

I think it'll all be decided by how well we shoot the three.

In 2021-22 we were top 3 in 3pt shooting and finished with the best record in the eastern conference, despite Bam missing 20+ games and Jimmy 15+.

In 2022-23, Bam and Jimmy actually missed fewer games but we were bottom 3 in 3pt shooting, and we finished 10th in the conference record wise.

Maybe our options at PG are so crap that all options are on the table.

I expect this regular season play out a lot like the last one except maybe slightly worse. We have some gaping holes, and our best player needs to pace himself. And we're not even great at defense anymore, so we're going to have to tread water like crazy just to keep from drowning. I still think that we make the playoffs because we're trying and not everyone is, and some other teams just can't get out of their own way. I wouldn't expect the playoffs to go anywhere near as well the way we're currently constructed though.

Of course I didn't expect the playoffs to go as well as they did last season either. I seem to remember wanting the season to be over already ... or something like that.
