Kind of player a quality team would have as a 3rd guard off the bench for defensive juice. Gabe Vincent/Dru Smith mold in that sense.

Funny enough--he's younger than Dru Smith

So a starter here then?

It doesn't matter. I just assume all of these are money moves, though I haven't taken a good look at the numbers.

Considering the current hole PG hole in the roster with Rozier being a disappointment--possibly. Def primarily a money move. Mitchell is a more useful expiring for this season's Heat than Tucker--and he's cheaper.

These last two seasons he's ~ 36%. Not great but he's playable.

We're still in the luxury tax at $2,856,988 we need to make one more trade and get under the tax for about 2 million. Riley is cooking.

Hell yea!!!

No idea who that is but I’m assuming with this, we are probably done. Thank god because PJ Tucker made no damn sense.

They're definitely not done. Original trade got them under the tax & they are too close to not so they will be looking to make that happen again... they're ~2.5M to get below Luxury Tax. This is where I wonder if they cut bait with JJJ or Highsmith & take back draft capital.

I would be disappointed if they send out another 2nd rounder to shed salary - better off to cut bait with guys that will get limited PT

How close did Mitchell get Heat to the cap?

Feels good to do some housekeeping. Miami is now squarely a very average NBA team. But, we're the right type of average NBA team. We got promising youth, one of the most dynamic future frontcourts in the NBA, and are trending to have maximum optionality to be able to trade expiring contracts and draft capital or go into 2026 free agency with cap space. It appears the goal is to have more clarity as to the long-term roster commitments for the next 4-5 years by the end of 2026 offseason.

A lot of you prefer the gleague roster over the main roster so this is no surprise

We're also positioned to add any star and turn us into a contender, with assets (especially if Ware and Jovic continue developing). We're like a better version of the team we were when we added Jimmy.

This roster needs Mitchell's PG skill set over Christopher's wing skill set.

Only issue is, Pat thought it was Donovan. He’s going to be so confused when he pulls up to practice

Through all the transactions I forgot to give Pelle his flowers for the way he closed out that game last night
