I like the idea of acquiring Collins, Dame, and getting rid of Duncan, but I am really meh on Fontecchio and Monk (even though he's a solid player).

If the Heat sign and trade Robinson, the players they are getting back they are trying to send them elsewhere.

EDIT: Found it! Twice in 2023-24 actually:

22/4/2 on 42% 3PT shooting
24/6 on 63% 3PT shooting (as a starter)

This is Spo's specialty: getting no names to go off on Miami's defense.

I'd really prefer a small forward replacement for Wiggins. Font doesn't really figure in for me. Just about getting the second to flip for Collins. I like the idea of Monk, Collins, Jovic, and KJ as our bench unit

If milwaukee had any ownership of their picks id send Herro over there for 2/3 firsts… but they dont got a first round pick that they dont owe a swap to until 2030…

If we add a pick to get rid of Terry I might be sick lol

This could be the reason they're (reportedly) holding out on a pick in a Wiggins deal, trying to use to dump Scary

Terry is expiring. Using a pick to dump him makes no sense. Would just be more franchise malpractice.

Duncan thank you contract.

Another expiring to add to list of expirings for the superstar who asks out.

Create cap space and you won't need to match salaries. This is insanity.

They don't have cap space now. Whether Duncan walks on his own or leaves in a sign and trade, they're still over the cap. Taking on Fontecchio isn't gonna change that. And they're not just salary dumping Wiggins or Terry. No one has the space to take them in and the Heat aren't attaching good enough assets to make a dump worthwhile for the other team.

We are using picks to dump Terry, to either the bucks or Lakers for Giannis/LeBron

Everything we do is franchise malpractice. If we could move his expiring for nothing he probably would be a goner already.

He has to be a foreign agent that has some of the most compromising info on so many people. They've made this guy untouchable and paid him a fortune: Now over $200M in career earnings.

Tobias Harris ($300M), Jakob Poeltl ($200M), Steven Adams ($200M), Otto Porter Jr ($140M), Ben Simmons ($160M), Tyson Chandler ($200M), and Nic Batum ($200M) have collectively made roughly $1.4 BILLION dollars playing basketball.

I’d literally rather let Terry sit at home and expire at end of year over attaching a pick to get rid of him….. but also felt the same way about Lowry

Exactly, a buyout is better than using a pick

They'd sooner let him expire, surely.

I'd rather keep Wiggins in your scenario and let Robinson walk (although I don't think Miami's FO would leave Robinson hanging) -- or at least get THJ back in a S&T. Or maybe Fontecchio could be sent to a 3rd team for a player.

The only player I want from Pistons for Robinson is Bobi Klintman

I'd be fine attaching a pick as long as we get a useful return - someone we actually want. B
