With Terry on the roster you can almost bet that he, Herro, and Powell will share the floor at the same time, with Wiggins at the 4 and Bam at the 5. Spo just operates like that.

Pat needs save Spo from himself here and ensure Terry is off of the roster before the start of the season, or else we're going to get fried (again) having a 3 guard lineup with 200lbs Andrew Wiggins as our 4.

Once the spurs accept herro and picks for fox.. and then trade rozier for derozan and/or monk.. the roster will feel more complete.

Mwp, why you wanna get rid of Wiggs AND Jag? I understand one, but not both. Rozier has to be rid of, I dont think it gets done till deadline tho.

Spurs have absolutely no reason to do this. Trade Fox to pay Herro? Trade a guy who forced his way to the Spurs. They’ll never get anyone forcing their way there again if they end up trading and not paying Fox. Klutch would ban them into oblivion

Cause we have a million wings with no backup Center or PG. Also want his 30 mil off the books next year. He’s a good player but just never seemed he liked being here. Why force it?

Fox is eligible for a contract extension after the conclusion of the NBA Finals. However, he'd only be able to sign a 3-year deal for $140 million. If the plan is to agree to the longest and most lucrative deal possible, he'd have to wait until August 2 to sign for four years at $226 million.

He’ll be signing that extension with the Spurs here soon.

Hes only been there for a half a season. Maybe give him time to learn schemes and a full training camp? I think our back will be Johnson, im not sure hes that good tho.

And you know Spo doesnt believe in conventional PGs. I think those duties will be shared by a few ppl besides Mitchell.

Spo not believing in conventional PG’s will forever regulate this team to the play in. You can only get away with non conventional PG’s when you got generational ball handling forwards like Lebron and Butler and even Butler needed Lowry for us to hit max level.

Which means one or more of these players most likely will not be on the roster by next June:
  1. Rozier
  2. JJJ
  3. Wiggins
  4. Fontecchio

Can I choose the one? Can we put it to a vote?

Roziers contract: Only $24,924,126 guaranteed in 2025/26. His contract becomes fully guaranteed if his team participates in the conference semifinals and he plays in at least 70 regular season games.

So I assume that figure is counting $1,718,905 of non guaranteed money. I guess it means if we don't use him for a big swing at a player at the deadline, we waive him after and we are under. Or he is probably banished to the shadow realm and never plays 70 games. Or if he does play 70 games we probably don't make conference finals.

I think Rozier’s unrealized gains technically has us under the tax line but today has us over by 1.4. Doubt he gets anywhere near those totals. If they can’t find him a home they just need to buy him out.

I need Terry Rozier off my team, man.

carnageta was right. Spo will 100% play a Rozier/Powell/Herro lineup and I might scream.

Ill keep dreaming that Nick Arison shares my sentiment and trades him away.

And if Herro is worth 2 unprotected firsts right now, why arent we trading him… once Powell outplays him, our offense looks more effective with him on the floor, and gets minutes over Herro, what is his value going to be? Rock bottom like it was during the Dame talks with portland?

Get him out now

Nobody is giving up that many picks just to have to turn around and pay him. If you want to get rid of Herro so bad i think you can probably get the Kings to give you LaVine. They will probably prefer to extend the younger Herro over LaVine. That’s pretty much the type of deal you are looking at for Herro.
