Not sure how this works, is anyone else? I know they have to renounce bird rights as it is a cap hold this year, but does it reset next year?
If this is the case you can easily keep haslem, right? Just give him min and promise a nice contract next year. You still have the 4.8 million to go after other guys, and can almost certainly get fisher then.
It's against league rules to sign for small amount then resign later for a higher paid deal. Pat got in trouble for trying this years ago. Doubt he risks it.
