The guy said that if the Heat blink on a new deal then he's gone. Whats wrong with that? Its not just about the money its about whether or not you believe in him.
Are the Heat going to call him at 12:01am or will they try to chase after Kevin Durrant and put Hassan on the back burner. It is the latter scenario that would result in Hassan taking a max deal from the Lakers and theres nothing wrong or selfish about that.
as i see it Hassan is a part of our plan and he's not stupid to not realize that he can't be paid max if our desire is to be able to sign KD. He must realize that he needs to stay here to help entice Durant and he also must allow us room to do so.
you're making it out as if we have to choose between the two but Hassan i'm certain will be very much part of Riles plan.
if Hassan simply bolts for the cash then that says alot about him imo. He has a real shot at a championship here. Hell cant you smell it? At 34yo Wade still playing like he's old self, Bosh one of the most efficient players in the league, you add him, Dragic and the potential of somebody like KD.....you'd be a fool not to see the opportunity he has here. We are so close to being true contenders.
I'm sure we 'believe' in Hassan but we need more than what we have. Hell i'm sure the entire team acknowledges that.
So, you are trying to sign Kevin Durant, Wade, and Hassan Whiteside for about 35 million dollars? I doubt if the player's union allows that.
Wade isn't even in his prime anymore and is 34yo, Hassan hasn't proven much but stats......why would the union give a crap?
