QUIZ wrote:Lol no. Hassan is going to do whats right for him. Nowhere in that tweet did you hear that Hassan wants to leave the Heat. The guy said that if the Heat blink on a new deal then he's gone. Whats wrong with that? Its not just about the money its about whether or not you believe in him.

Are the Heat going to call him at 12:01am or will they try to chase after Kevin Durrant and put Hassan on the back burner. It is the latter scenario that would result in Hassan taking a max deal from the Lakers and theres nothing wrong or selfish about that.

as i see it Hassan is a part of our plan and he's not stupid to not realize that he can't be paid max if our desire is to be able to sign KD. He must realize that he needs to stay here to help entice Durant and he also must allow us room to do so.

you're making it out as if we have to choose between the two but Hassan i'm certain will be very much part of Riles plan.

if Hassan simply bolts for the cash then that says alot about him imo. He has a real shot at a championship here. Hell cant you smell it? At 34yo Wade still playing like he's old self, Bosh one of the most efficient players in the league, you add him, Dragic and the potential of somebody like KD.....you'd be a fool not to see the opportunity he has here. We are so close to being true contenders.

I'm sure we 'believe' in Hassan but we need more than what we have. Hell i'm sure the entire team acknowledges that.

So, you are trying to sign Kevin Durant, Wade, and Hassan Whiteside for about 35 million dollars? I doubt if the player's union allows that.

Wade isn't even in his prime anymore and is 34yo, Hassan hasn't proven much but stats......why would the union give a crap?
If u don't want 2b here, the way things work, u don't like it, then don't b here. U have 2 stand on something. If Miami ain't standing on something, they become alot of these organizations trying 2 find their identity. This is the culture, bro -Wade

You're right. What am I thinking? Of course everyone will sign on, especially the agents and the players. Naturally.

If there is a plan that Hassan is made aware of that is different but that is not the scenario being discussed. All the tweet said was if the Heat blink he'll be gone because the Lakers really want him.

Whiteside did a Q and A session on The Player's Tribune twitter account yesterday. I don't care what Haberstroh says, I like his sense of humor.

He uses Heat and OKC on 2k.
What are your keys to success? #1 block everything. #2 repeat #1
His favortie player is Steoh Curry, he's liked him since college.
Favorite show is family guy, also likes Game of Trones.
Best advice Dj Khaled has given him: Don't play yourself.

This thread should be deleted, it takes away from what we really need to discuss, which is the team getting better. Hassan isn't discussing his contract situation, so why should we? This thread is pointless and should be deleted.

It wasn't really about his contract situation. That's just what we let it become. It's supposed to be a thread about Hassan's amazing story and his future as a hip hop artist.

Totally agree. The intentions at the beginning might have been good, but this thread has now devolved into one group who wants Hassan to get a max at any cost with any team and the other group constantly coming up with the reasons not to give him the max. As a fan, as long as he signs back with the Heat, I couldn't care less if he gets the max or not .. as long as he signs back on!

DJK .. work your magic :D
