He bullies teenagers as a 22YO.

Good luck doing that against NBA 6'11 players.

That's my hope BECAUSE I **** HATE THIS PICK

Why? He's bad? I get he's older, so lower upside...

Old, not athlthic, not a shooter, not a defefnder either,

Has the type of game that won't translate against NBA players,

He's not a PF, which we need, He's not a PG, which we need,

He's like a hustle guy, 8th rotation guy on a good team.

I hate this so much I must be missing something

Honestly, I agree.

Can't believe we took a guy that if we're lucky will be the 8-9th man.

I mean, we picked 18th lol

If we would have traded back to 20 the Warriors would have taken him. Bet

What’s the role that warrants our once every 2 years 1st round pick and likely one of our earliest 1st round picks?

We don’t have a pick once every two years. We had a pick last year, we have one this year, next year, and really every single year except 2025.

I trust that the front office saw something worthwhile.

I know blind hope. I’m usually on board. This seems absurd. Pat has spoken about being an every other year draft team. We won’t be keeping all our future picks.

I think the Heat had a very specific view for him and reached and didn’t deviate despite real opp available. I firmly don’t believe this will be one of the picks that goes down as Miami getting a top 5-10 player in the draft when it’s all said and done (like Bam and Herro).

It’s all good. I’m rooting for him.

I like his defense especially, but he is a guy who can score in the paint. He passes the ball well too. He is not a great shooter.

Whitmore was there. Lottery level talent, I'd jump all over that and bring him into our culture and teach him

w/e it's done. we got some scrub that will be a bench player tweener.

Someone explain to me why we are taking a swingman when we already have so many on the roster and we desperately need a point guard and power forward?

Unless it's like a top pick, I don't get too worked up over the NBA draft. The only draft where I think it matters in every pick in the first round is the NFL.

The hope is he’s our Austin Reaves. All is forgiven and I eat crow if that’s the case.

I wish he shot 3s like Reaves in college

He's going to be Jimmy's direct backup if he's on the roster and not in Portland.

The hope is that he learns enough from Jimmy to be the Culture type player going forward.

He's a winner. Totally makes sense for this organization to take.

Not my cup of tea, though. Would have rather traded down closer to the end of the 1st round, don't think the drop off is that high.

As long as he plays against 18YO weaklings.

Listen Miami has a bunch of 3 point specialist who cannot control the paint and create. This is the dude.....hes coming off the bench and will have the same offense that Jimmy works out of as a starter, now you have a flow when Jimmy comes off the floor on controlling the pace and opening the floor for us.
