Bam is also a better defender for the playoff game than Gobert. Gobert being buttressed with all the right defenders in Minny in the early playoff rounds and being solid so far doesn't change that.

The fascination with Bam's size among Heat fans still blows my mind. He's 6'9 without shoes. Gobert is surrounded by plus defenders and Towns--who is long and mediocre as a defender. Minny has done a great job of getting 2-way players across the board. Celtics, Thunder, Nuggets and even the Knicks have done the same.

Ice cold; is not jovic what are we hoping to elevated his game to the next level next to Bam? I acknowledged that JOvic is a far away from being a really consistent productive player but I wonder if Heat fans have already thrown in the towel on Jovic? Honestly, i don’t even know how good he is going to be? The only person knows that is Jovic himself, unfortunately. I am watching
Wolves vs Nuggets now. Wolves looks great so far.

My hope for Jović as a defender is to emulate Maxi Kleber. Jović is a little longer. Will he fill out to be around 240 and keep his mobility? TBD

If you ask me his mobility and coordination on the court looked better as the season went on. I’d have to attribute that to his mental processing.

The problem is, I have no idea how good jovic is going to be, I think he’s a huge risk that Heat might be wasted their times on because for one, we don’t know his mental set, for example.

Jovic is going to be a quality player. You can see it already. He’s building really nicely and in some ways, probably ahead of expectations this year.

The leap he made defensively was big. He wasn’t getting played off the floor, and when he got switched onto a guard, he held his own for the most part. Offensively, his 3 ball has come a long way. Fodor working magic on the form and speed of the release. He’s a big kid that’s probably still growing, and he should be a big part of our build back up the ladder.

He showed up and didn't quit against the Boston Celtics went right at those boys, at 20 years old that speaks volume for his mental state. However, nobody knows if he will be special, so far we know at a minimum he could to turn into a serviceable starter and plays really well next to Bam.

With all this hooply now happening here Durant saying hed come to Miami if it made sense, imagine a Bam, Durant, Jovic, Jimmy starting rotation thats a hell of blend of all sorts of skills, you might take a hit on Rozier/Duncan perhaps since Phoenix is looking for point guard. Then use Herro to go get you a decent point guard, 3&D guy making less money to put in that lineup.

I mean I know it's BR, but kinda wild they have kuzma getting the wizards Jovic and 2 frps. Is he that good now?
Rather keep our pick and jovic and send one of those extra frps from sixers to cavs. Although he has a nice contract that goes down... 23.5 - 21.5 - 19.5 next 3 years.

Also if we trade Jimmy, we are going young. Not sending jovic out for a 29 yo but not the worst trade prop.

Are we really better going from Jimmy jovic herro and all our picks and getting donovan kuzma?

Rather keep jovic and our rookie pick this year and get ingram and if he walks we get cap space. Would wanna redo that trade with pelicans instead of wizards.

PHX get back the 2FPRs they traded for KD and 2 from us, a cost controlled Jaquez, defensive 4 with DFS, PG option with Schroeder and Duncan, balances their team and de-clutters their offense allowing Booker and Beal to do their thing while adding some defense.

For BKN Schroeder is an expiring contract so would essentially DFS and 2FRPs for Herro. But they may need to be incentivized with adding Jovic too.

But ultimately that would leave us with;

Rozier/Wright
Butler/JRich
KD/
Jovic?/Highsmith
Bam/Love

And would need to hope some quality vet min guys are happy to follow KD here as we'd need some scoring off the bench.

I saw that and I realize I don’t know basketball as well as I used to, I mean in terms of players. For many years I could tell you every starter on every team across the league, now I can’t tell you more than 2 or 3 people per team. I simply don’t have the time to watch as much anymore. Having said that, even not knowing all the players and what’s going on with them, I felt like it was a bad trade offer all around.

I refuse to be caught up in and excited for never ending rumors that seem imminent but eventually amount to nothing for the 4th summer in a row. If anything happens, great…if not, so be it.

Will be the results, unfortunate and laughable tbh.

Bam 3rd team, behind Jokic.

If he makes an All-NBA team, he's going to get the supermax which will take a little bit more money away from the rest of the roster. Should be interesting to see how people react to that. I'm fine with Bam getting that, he raises the team's floor.

He wont make All NBA. There's too many guys ahead of him esp with the change to make All NBA position less. It's gonna be hard for him to make in the future if he doesnt raise his offense. No fault to him, its a talented league and All NBA tilts heavily towards offensive players.
But he should win DPOY but he likely won't. Gobert is playing with elite defensive players and Bam isn't. Wemby no way deserves it. Your team at minimum should be a top 10 defensive team to be considered otherwise whats the point of the award

I was making a joke about 3rd team Bam. All defense was the post I replied to. There are no 3rd team all defense. Bam behind Jokic was also a jab at the subpar defenders Bams never been able to oust for 1st team selections.

Furthermore can’t trust the fanbase for a reasonable analysis. Theyll just gaslight anyone who hesitates to anoint Niko as the next coming the way they did when people questioned Winslow.

I’m not doing that trade. I’d give Jimmy for Mitchell and the minimum to make the money work for both sides. But not Jimmy and a bunch of other assets for a guy the Cavs will lose anyway. Would rather keep Jimmy and let him play out his deal. I wouldn't even give him an extension. I’d let him hit free agency and decide then if he deserves a 1 year deal.

But Jimmy, Herro, Jovic and picks? Nah, Mitchell is going to be a free agent soon. I can wait….just like we did for Jimmy
