Experience is the correct term and that's basically what I'm trying to get at between him, Strus, and Gabe.
At the start of the season, neither Caleb, Strus, nor Gabe were expected to play in the playoffs if our roster was fully healthy, but Caleb is the one guy who might see time because of his defense.
BTW, 117 GP isn't a lot of experience; only a bit more than a full season's worth of games, but Caleb plays like he's been in the league for a few years.
Yeah its not old, however he is entering in his prime. He has played over 100 games in his career. His role is limited and he knows how to play his role. I would say he isn't learning his role, he plays it to a Tee. I would class him as a developed player. The only experience he needs is playoff experience.
