That’s why depth is super important this year. It’s a long season at this pace. They’ll need all the bodies they can get!

Hopefully we’ll be able to offload Terrys contract for some bench reinforcements.

Right now, it's training, Not even the "first quarter" of the season ...so...

Our development as a team is right on schedule... Let's add some pieces so we can make it past the first Or Second round in the playoffs.

Where are all the people I saw all offseason who talked negatively on Pat, the roster, and wanted me committed to a mental hospital for saying this roster is capable of winning 50 games?

This is like the 900th time these cats been on the wrong side of a Riley move, and they never learn. When it’s getting close to summer time and we are playing in our 10th ECF in 21 years I’d like everybody to just pause and recognize the greatness that is the Pat Riley led Miami Heat organization, and stop being stupid about it. We won’t always be blessed like this, Pat and Spo won’t live forever. For those that watched this team before there ever was a Big 3 or a Shaq and Wade I beg of you to enjoy the good times, which we are currently very much still in.

There isn’t a team in the league wouldn’t trade their last two decades of basketball with us outside maybe the Warriors, and even still our run has spanned much longer than theirs. It’s a dynasty when you zoom out, and has gone through multiple builds, I’m not sure I’ve seen it done like this organizationally in sports before. You usually see a build go on a run for a franchise but rarely do you see them continue a run multiple times with different groups.

Who's this elite play maker you are talking about?

No doubt this is a phenomenal organization, but a team that has been a fringe playoff team for several years and has caught some bad breaks on aggressive (and expensive) trades definitely deserved criticism.

Deep playoff runs and this current iteration of a Spolestra offense definitely illustrate why he’s the best coach in the business.

Let us all bask in this special moment in time where TYLER HERRO leads the entire NBA in DEFENSIVE RATING

What's your pick, if you had your choice?

None. NONE.

Trae Young is a bad defender, career 35% from 3 shooter, 5:2 assist to turnover ratio, and makes the max. Made conf finals in 2020-2021 and since then 2 first round exits and havent made playoffs last two years. Ill never understand the love this guy gets from fans. At their age, contracts, shooting, skill set and tangibles I prefer herro.

Ja Morant is a headcase and cant shoot 3s, worse than wade, and isn't available to play for one reason (injuries) or another (legal).

LaMelo has great size, great play maker and shoots the best of the bunch from 3 at 36% for career. But terrible attitude, gives up on plays, when they start losing he makes bad decisions. He's my least favorite from a fan and likability POV. And hes also literally never available either. Since 2020-2021 hes played 51-75-36-22-47 and already this year has played in 10 of 18. Dude has missed half his career games.

You don't make trades for players like this unless you lack identity and you're desperate. We are neither of those things.

Either get a true star like giannis or luka or you wait for the next norman powell type trade.

I just read this, and it is spot on.

We have a realistic shot at getting anyone of those 3 names mentioned above. The one that could be revolutionary to our offense would be Trae Young. Defensive issues aside. With this current Heat team and our personnel, Trae would basically be a poor man Steph Curry in our system. Can you imagine a lineup of:

Trae Young
Powell
Larson
Bam
Ware

The connection with Trae having 2 amazing bigs in Ware and Bam.... The offensive opprotunities that would create coupled with Trae being deadly from anywhere from 3, he can collapse the defensive, kickout to shooters, kill you from the outside.

Bam and Ware can cover for his defensive woes.

As much as I love Tyler, Trae would be a player that I'd willing to part with him for. I would even go as far to say that Trae Young actually compliments this team better than Tyler does.

But that's who I want ICE TRAE.

I wouldn't even consider Trae or Ball tbh. Only one I could see the logic in taking a chance on would be Ja.

I agree with those who said none though. Even if you think they are all more talented than Tyler (other than Ja, they are not), they could never be considered better enough to warrant moving Tyler who is a much better fit by every other measure. Way more coachable, way more liked by his teammates, way less selfish, way less ego. No way in hell any of those guys take the beating that Tyler has taken in stride all these years being a loud part of the fanbase's favorite scapegoat.

Alright, but will they throw lobs to Bam?

I think Tyler will. Especially if it's Mitchell who moves to the bench. Plus I've always felt they have good on court chemistry, despite the Bam fan friction/anti-Herro campaign they push off the court.

99 pace with Tyler on the court last night which would rank 25th in the league, curious to see how that trends as the games go by. Could’ve just been a product of Dallas defense

Thank you!!!!

I'm no Herro stan, but when people pile on him and then salivate over this steaming garbage it makes me question what they're smoking. It’s not even controversial to say Herro had a better season last year than all 3 of those guys, but Heat fans would fight you for that statement. Just weird tribalism. Should be rooting for all our guys (until they're gone, then they can get bent).

It’s not even tribalism, as tribalism would have to include Herro by default. It is something else, maybe appearance hate? I don’t know, but….

The reality is that the difference between all those 3 players and Herro is simply not much. They may look more flashy at times, but in a team sport, what matters is results, and Herro’s 3 point shot seems more efficient according to the stats shown above. Herro also has a wider range of shots, he may not be the best at any of them, and 2 of those players are elite at shooting that one specific shot at times, but again efficiency is where Herro shines over them, especially in a team oriented system.

It occurred to me… getting Norman coming off of one of his best seasons for pennies is just weird. It makes no sense and should have not happened. So why did it?

My thought… the NBA made it so. It was their way of quietly penalizing the Clippers for the Kawhi stuff while throwing us a bone for the Rozier stuff.

Really sorry you had to go two full NBA seasons without going to a conference or NBA finals. What a travesty
