Well he was our original draft choice but then we traded his rights for Daequan Cook. He is pretty solid though.

Watching LeBron highlights from last season got me thinking.. I seriously wonder what it's like for Coach Spo to watch LeBron do the things he does. He never shows any reactions. If that was me I'd be jumping up and down screaming lol.

SIGN DARKO. I want '03 class domination :D

I wouldn't mind Jason Smith, but as usual, it depends on what we'd have to give up to get him.

Well, Spo's the coach so he has to leave the foam finger in the locker room.

I like it. Good rebounder and he can spread the floor as a shooter. I think it would be a good pickup.

Wouldn't we have picked up Darko or Blatche by now if Riley had interest? I don't see any reason why you'd put signing someone on hold.

I'm fine with getting Harrellson. Better to go after big bodies that are young rather than the types we had in 2011. At least his body won't break down as the season progresses.

Can anyone tell me if Harrellson is starter material or will he be playing spot minutes behind Anthony? Of course, that is only if Bosh DOES NOT start the season as the center.

Sounds like he has a similar make up-wise to Darko since he can stretch the floor. Is his D and rebounding better than Darko?

If he signs with the Heat, he will be a back up to Joel. I think it will also depend on match ups. For example, something like the Shane and MM situation may happen.

Harrelson is not starter material.

I've seen him tons. Spreads the floor (hits the 3), a little gritty. He was a fan favorite in New York as well. Though sometimes I did see him get beat.

The thing is.... I mean we have Pittman. The dude is a year younger in the league I believe than Pittman. Second rounder just like Pitt. But a better offensive game I believe.

Might as well get a vet. :|

If he does join and becomes a back up behind Joel or something, our 2nd unit would be all 3 point shooters except maybe UD lol.

Don't really know his game but low post defender + 3pt shooter sounds like a perfect fit for us LOL.

A big who can space the floor, rebound, and hustle at 6-10 is definitely something we should look at. He shouldn't start, but he could wind up ahead of Joel in the rotation if he's signed because he's a "live" player as Riley has been saying lately, as in, he can hit a shot.

Since when can Darko stretch the floor? 18% of his shots last season were jump shots and he had an eFG% of .217. In the 10/11 season 27% of his attempts were jumpers and he had a eFG% of .342, which is still far from floor-stretching material. In comparison, 64% of Harrellson's shots were jumpers and he had an eFG% of .468. That's a guy people have to respect from the outside. Rebounding wise, they're both on the same level. Darko's size and shot-blocking ability make him more interesting piece on the defensive end, but offensively I think Harrellson could help us more, as we don't really need a post-up center.

Jorts is a decent backup.
He is young and a decent 3 point shooter and jump shooter.
He is a decent rebounder.
Decent post defender.

but

He is also a very poor finisher.
Not very athletic.
Poor pick and roll defender.
Maybe undersized for a C.

Overall, I would pick him over the likes of Darko. He is way younger and at least seems to have a bit of upside. If he gets into better shape and loses some weight while putting on some muscle he can be better. Also he needs to improve his 3 point shot and his finishing ability.
