We need fat ass Lowry to recruit cause Butler only has one friend. Butler’s other friend Reddick may have to come out of retirement.

The hope would be that Murray continues to improve on his 35% from 3 on catch and shoots. Strus takes 10 3s a game. Jimmy continues to value the 3 like he did in the playoffs. Bamba increased his volume a little, and Bam starts taking 1-2 a game would be the cherry on top.

That defense would be insane. Far better than this last season

Jimmy talks about being in the gym at 5am and being a gym rat so why can’t he work on that three pointer? Just something to think about. If he developed a real jumper outside of mid range he’d be an All-NBA talent. Murray would make more sense if atleast one of them could shoot, while also having Mo Bamba or Myles Turner.

Damn I didn’t realize TJ basically missed the last 2 seasons. The 3 prior to that he shot 40% and 43% from 3 though. He’s worth a flier imo

Jimmys all nba as it is, he’s a top 10 player in the league. The reality with him at this point is he’s not going all out in the regular season, probably 70% as we saw this season. That’s fine as long as he performs in the playoffs like he did

Per Ira

According to an NBA source familiar with the situation, the Miami Heat are willing to extend a fully guaranteed contract for the maximum-allowable three years to free-agent power forward P.J. Tucker.

The Heat’s offer is built off the $8.4 million non-Bird salary-cap exception, which would put the team’s standing offer at $27 million over three years.

The Heat do not appear poised to put their $10.3 million mid-level exception into play with Tucker because utilizing that exception would trigger a hard cap, which could limit or even preclude trade possibilities for the team both this offseason and then at the 2023 NBA trading deadline in February.

Tucker, who had pushed for the third year to be guaranteed, is believed to be seeking the Heat’s $10.3 million mid-level exception, which would result in a package worth $33 million over the three years.

Those (Crowder, Warren via trade), however, only would be fallback positions if current Heat teammates are unable to convince Tucker to stay.

Honestly if PJ wants the MLE he can kick rocks. And if you want to give him the MLE knowing the ramifications of how it would handicap this team you can kick rocks too

Well he would get a lot more recognition if he had an actual 3 ball. Shot 29% from 3 in the playoffs and 23% in the regular season. It seems like when he came to Miami he forgot how to shoot because in Chicago, MIN and PHI he shots over 33% with 37% being his best percentage while also attempting more 3 point shots.

PJ is playing hardball over what is maybe a couple million after taxes. Its all posturing right now by his agent unless Morey has been full on tampering (maybe with Harden relaying messages who knows).

Good point as well about PJ sticking it to us knowing the hard cap situation.

34% in the playoffs on 4 attempts a night. I’d like to see that next season.

I mean he’s either playing hardball or he’s just leaving and that’s it lol.

Enjoy losing to us PJ

To be fair on the players side, this is his last pay day and he wants to milk it for all is worth. If you put yourself as the individual and work really hard all these years to be the player you are you believe you deserve every penny that can go your way. He is still going to balance winning regardless, but if he can get both. a position to be in the playoff's next year with a contender whilst making the biggest buck.
(Philly $30M=$21.4M untaxed) give or take if you preclude the non taxed state games.
(Miami $27M=$21.06M untaxed) pretty fck similar to be honest.
The only thing that I would think would be out of spite due to not getting the $33M for the full Mid Level from Miami.
(Miami full Mid Level $33M=$25.74M untaxed) that's $4.68M difference over three years.

We might as well over pay Dipo now on a 1 and 1 deal with team option since we don’t have to deal with hard cap.

Not buying it. Mitchell has been training with everyone in the league recently.

If PJ is gone, a 4 man upgrade becomes even more imperative.

Still like the Thad Young shout too as an option.
