Thank god Duncan is gone. Fontecchio is an expiring 8m too. Great news for the Heat in terms of getting their finances under control

He was our longest tenured player besides Bam right? Played in Wade's last game and almost sold his triple double. Was absolutely killer in 2020 and had his moments here and there.

Duncan should be able to work similar next to the wide body Duren if he can stay out of foul trouble (Duncan too) and he’ll play with the best playmaker he’s ever had in Cade. He might have a resurgence

This. We either like the dude we got back or we wanted that $$$ for some other trade we are working on. Otherwise, would have made sense to just let it go and use our MLE instead. Tell me we are missing a detail like a SRP.

Im confused like the rest of you as to why we did this other than doing a favor for Duncan.

Maybe it was agreed upon with Duncan, if you opt out and give us this cap/tax relief, we will help you sign with your new team.

Are we at 15 roster spots now or was everyone taking Duncan into account when they were saying 14? If we’re at 15 we can’t even take multiple players back in a Wiggins trade right?

Not sure, but you can carry up to 21 players in the off-season.

Yup… we just took back Mr. Fondue which fills the 15th spot. Makes no sense… please tell me follow up move with that $$$.

My hope is that the heat want to stack up expirings for a trade, whether its for taking a bad contravt back for picks… or trade picks and expirings for X player

Right now we got Highsmith 5m, Love 4m, Rozier 26.6m, Andersen 9.2m, and this font guy 8m. Near 50 million in expirings
