yes he said that.

He's right. We can't fire him. It's way too late for those shananigans now. He can't get the most out of each player because he has no set plays drawn up that can utilize the talents of each player. They can't beat the above .500 teams, because they have coaches that will outcoach Spoelstra 10 times out of 10. We can only beat below .500 teams, because of our talent. There is no such thing as below .500 teams in the playoffs.

So, to sum it all up, in reality there isn't much more we can do until we fire him (which will be in the offseason).

That press conference should be the end of the line for Spoelstra. Whether players were actually crying or not, it's something that should have stayed in the locker room, and will lead to the Heat being ridiculed.

I wonder how ownership will handle this. In my opinion it's not too late in the season to fire him.

Possibly the most disturbing comment was when Bosh said the team doesn’t have any idea what the issues are in the third quarters, which have been problematic lately.

“We’ve had a lot of third quarter lapses, and I think there has to be a common denominator,” Bosh said. “We’re all smart players. But to have halftime leads continue to be cut down, it’s a reoccurring thing right now. I don’t think we’ve addressed the problem yet. We have to find the problem first.

“You have to bring intelligence into the game at one point. But we’ll get there.”

Ouch.

He actually had a good game this time. I think he has been horrible since his 1-18 night. Absolutely killed his confidence before tonight.

No doubt when he said “You have to bring intelligence into the game at one point. But we’ll get there.” That was a shot at SPO cause well he has none.......

Not sure if it has been posted, but another poor coaching move by Spoelstra:

Heat are up 86-84, 25.4 seconds to go, Bulls ball, straight out of a time out (thus any substitutions can occur). Bulls have Rose, Korver, Deng, Noah, Boozer in... Heat have Wade, Chalmers, LeBron, Bosh, Miller in...

So your matchups are LeBron-Noah, Wade-Rose, Chalmers-Deng, Bosh-Boozer, Miller-Korver. What's the OBVIOUS problem here? Chalmers on Deng? Doesn't work, Deng takes him to the lane and gets the foul call. I don't have a problem with LeBron on Noah, but Chalmers on Deng is a big problem. It only Spoelstra would have put in Dampier for Chalmers, LeBron could have been the one guarding Deng, and he wouldn't have had to foul him.

Wade did a great job denying Rose the ball, but then there was an obvious mismatch elsewhere and the Bulls took advantage of it. If LeBron is on Deng and Dampier/Z is on Noah, I have to think we when the game. Honestly I think I'd rather take my chances with Rose vs. Wade than Deng vs. Chalmers.

Also, Z should have been put in instead of Noah once Deng was at the line. The same result may have happen, but Z is a good FT shooter and Dampier is not. If Dampier secures that board and is fouled, there's a good chance he misses at least one of the FTs.

"But its been no bed of roses, no pleasure cruise......"

I fully blame this season on Nascars inability to reach a wider audience. If Riley was a Nascar fan this never would have happened. The best cars are paired with the best drivers. Its like giving someone who has never raced before the fastest car in Nascar and thinking that they will still win races. The problem is due to the power of having the best car they have the fastest times in the straightaways and look fantastic, but cant navigate the turns. The driver doesnt know how to shift gears smoothly. Does not know when to gear down or when to gear up to avoid blowing the engine. Driver rarely pits and drives too long with no traction. We oversteer coming out of turns and by the time we regain traction we have lost seconds on the lead. The driver continues to make the mistakes a more experience driver wouldn't. Sure in time the driver will might enough experience to be able to master the car but he is still years behind the other drivers in the field. We dont have time for Spo to figure it out. We need a more experienced driver.

Today's question on MSNBC: Is there crying in sports?

On another note, I noticed this poll has gained like 100 votes in the past week. Who the bloody hell is voting?

All of the people coming to the Heat forum to see how the Heat fans are reacting to the team's losing streak. There are two things that people (especially Americans) love and will always love, a train wreck, and a comeback story (or underdog). I just find it funny because you know a lot of non heat fans are voting to keep Spo out of spite to the Heat fans voting to fire him. It would be interesting if we could see the user names of the voters.

I have access to that info. Oddly enough, there's a lot of usernames that begin with "HIF", and they all seem to vote no. Funny cuz only one of them posts here.
