what a bunch of quitters. It's 4 months before any potential Heat Pacers series. A lot of things are going to happen between now and then.

Bitches be tripping. Getting all scared because of a broken down Bynum. Get a grip.
Indy had more size before and this move changes almost nothing. Ian Mahinmi is a better defender then Bynum.
Let's see if Pat can make one move at the trade deadline.

If/When Bynum signs with Indy, we just have to make a few simple adjustments......It will require our staff and get in the lab, watch how teams have beat INDY and exploit their weaknesses....Scared-NO, concerned-Only about our ability to adjust.

Re: Andrew Bynum
At the end of the day Bynum did what he felt was best for him and went to where he felt he was needed and recruited. Miami is placing all there eggs on Oden which basically means were one injury away from UD to play full time center against the Pacers. Thats not even factoring Wade who is a shell of his former self. Yes things can change from now until the playoffs but remember we wouldnt pay more than the min when we had a chance to get a productive center, productive compared to what we have on the roster. Were not doom and gloom but were not sunshine and happiness either.

Re: Andrew Bynum
If we were the win a THIRD STRIGHT championship we'll need a few things going for us in the playoffs.
If Indy want to beat us they'll need a few things going for them.
No team has a huge advantage in this matchup, and to think Bynum is going to dramatically change that is ridiculous. They don't even have a real need for him.
Pat is focusing on makings US better, not taking players just for the sake of not letting them go to another team.
I wouldn't be surprised if our roster and rotation will look significantly different by the time the playoffs come. And if we make no moves, we're still capable of rising to the moment and winning it all. Our players won't quit without a fight, unlike some hysteric posters.

Re: Andrew Bynum
And that's that.
Riley and Corp. must know something we don't, otherwise a simple mind can't bear with the idea of a center, 7 footer, signing with the rival, who's major advantage is such given size.
The hell with the money at this point, small price for half of season to play looking at the big picture.
And BTW, small ball is no longer the clear advantage verses such rival, as they were wise enough to get better at that also.
So what's Riley's thought process in allowing the competition to acquire the one thing needed most to counter their strength?
Time will tell I guess.

Re: Andrew Bynum
Indiana 4-2 defeats Miami in ECF. It was fun while it lasted.
Now when Hibbert goes to the bench with foul trouble, we have to deal with Bynum. And I'd say Bynum is better offensively than Hibbert is.
Bosh will be gone, Wade will sign for less money, and I think LeBron will stay. Allen will retire, Battier will retire, and Riley will shake up the roster and use Chris Bosh's money to finally get us legit rebounders and 7 footers.
It was a nice run. We have a shot to win it all next year again, but it would have been nice to have a 3-peat. Should have had one if not for 2011 disaster. Oh well.
Our only hope now is that LeBron and Wade go into 2011-2012 Basketball Gods mode again, but with Wade's health issues and a much improved Pacers team..... outlook is bleak on that happening.

But the pieces that will retire were the effective pieces in those championships.
We had Miller and Battier vs OKC.
We had Allen vs Spurs.
All three will be gone.
Who out there can replace such effectiveness?
Because we're looking at Wade with question marks, leaving Lebron with a Cavs like situation again.
I don't know.

Yes, we're ******, we must have a healthy Wade to have a chance and as of now doesn't look like Wade will ever be healthy again.

Hibbert is defense. If we can get him with foul trouble that means we will be able to expose Bynum on defense but he in turn will turn Bosh UD Bird into punching bags. Its not all doom and gloom but we will need a productive offensive player to step up. Someone who can get to the free throw line, someone who can get on fire come playoff time. If only we had that type of player on our roster.......

3 pt specialists, who have some size or play some defense, are not tough to find. Riley is great at finding them. They don't have to be famous household names like Ray Ray, as Pat found an unproven one in James Posey way back in 2005 when he got him from Memphis. Guards and Forwards are much easier to come by.
The issue is, size. Talented big men are a rare commodity in the NBA. If we can get a good combo of rebounding, defensive 7 footers with Bosh's money, then Riley will surely fill in the gaps at G/F with guys who can play D and shoot the 3 ball.
Wade will probably sign for less money this time, so we'll be good. Riley won't ever mismanage a team like the Cavaliers did to LeBron.
