We been clamoring over a stretch 4 or 5 ever since Josh McRoberts. As if that is the key to having a good offense. The one time that we had a good stretch 4 was a player who wasnt a 4, but just a small forward playing the 4. Babbit, Lewis and Battier. The rest been floppididy flop

Why did Ryan Anderson mostly play at the 4?

Because he was the traditional powerforward size and quickness.

Let me add, he was also pretty athletic when he came into the league. He was quick agile, able to rebound, handle some and shoot. Once he got slow he was quickly faded out the league. Mostly due to knee injuries. Just incase you are thinking of the slow Anderson.

Outside of size which is almost irrelevant in this situation, you basically just described Leonard.

Feel the Heat, for once explain your reason for Leonard. Not answering question with a question. Explain how does Leonard excel the Heat offensively or defensively

I'm pretty sure at this point, most of us know what Leonard brings to the Heat. If you think JJ's 52% TS is going to help us more than Leonard's 67% TS I'm not going to try to convince you otherwise.

Love seeing DWade take Justise under his wing. Expecting a true breakout year from him this season.

Wade gonna be a terrific recruiter for us with these 'DWade Invitational's'. He's highly regarded by players everywhere, obviously a huge reason as to how we got Jimmy too.

Very biased opinion but the Heat have a chance to be a special team next year. I can't get away from the fact Hassan was our biggest culture killer last year. He was the biggest reason for our dishonest and erratic performances. Essentially he was the least coachable player on the roster last year.

In late 2017, we saw how tough a detailed Spo offence is to stop with a healthy, in shape Dion Waiters. Dion being in the same ball park as he was back then unlocks everything. Justise, Bam and Kelly are now mature and can play the sophisticated schemes that Spo likes. That + a last minute get out option of Jimmy with Dion as another option will just back us a pain in the ass to play against.

We just need to be that team that never beats itself, and i feel like having Hassan gone will be the key to that.

Lots of young guys at Wade’s invitational this year. Winslow again the only Heat player. Turns out Team USA isnt the only recruiting/networking event

Anyone notice Winslow missing in action when the others where playing together in the Pro-Am and now the others are missing in action at DWades Invitational. Just weird that Winslow isn’t hanging and playing with his dudes.

Nope, I don't find it unusual. People hang outside of their normal click at times.

The only guys at the pro-am were who? Bam, djj and jj? Winslow was also the only guy at Wade’s invitational last year. I wouldnt read much into it, there’s no real value in the Pro-Am and Wade just happens to be closer to Winslow than any of the other young guys on the team.

Also these events is not for self improvements or workouts. These are usually fund raising events. They are trying to entertain at the same time not get hurt.

I dont think any of those guys are worth a look given the current construction of the roster. Maybe Chriss but thats it

After opening the past two years on the road against the Orlando Magic, the Heat will, based on the preliminary version of the NBA schedule, host the Memphis Grizzlies on Oct. 23 at AmericanAirlines Arena, the South Florida Sun Sentinel has learned.

I could not agree more. Hassan felt entitled to minutes and I think it hurt the team culture. No point in giving a guy more minutes when he only plays hard for the first 6 minutes of a game and then disappears.

Toxic personalities in any work environment have untold consequences. For example, I think Whiteside’s attitude of entitlement was a major reason behind Dion publicly complaining about his minutes.

Now with Jimmy, it’s a complete 180 in culture. He is going to call people out when they need to be called out and like you said, we are going to see more consistency night in and out.

On a related note, it would have been interesting to see if Whiteside played any harder with Jimmy on the team tho. Would have liked to see that dude get called out. He had so much potential, but just such a bad attitude.
Proud embarrassment
