Same old **** with this diva Beal.

No... if Miami tries to lowball Washington too much where Washington ends up saying no and keeps Beal, Beal doesn't want to be seen as the guy who wanted out and have to listen to boos the rest of his time in Washington.

Exactly....Beal is still playing the same games. Nothing has changed over the last few years to now.

He can't force them to trade him, it's a terrible PR move for him, but if they decide they want to rebuild that have to accept they won't get all that much for Beal, so it's all about their direction.

It's all PR moves, when certain credible insiders are already saying things are in motion already, they probably are, doesn't mean they'll get done but the chances are good.

Look at what Beal has done, he's made a ton of money, has a ton of money still coming to him and also has the ability to pick where he's traded to and what he's trade for, him staying in Washington for the supermax netted him 30-40 million more then being traded a few years earlier. Outside of playoff success he's achieved about as much as one can hope for in the NBA AND he still has 4+ years or probable great play left in him.

Washington doesn’t have any leverage and should be happy even getting two picks with that massive contract, After that trade it could open up a trade for herro to get another player/depth/starter PF.

Exactly they have to two avenues accept the trade request to the team of choice with a package of choice approved by Beal or don't trade Beal and live with the results of a disgruntled star.

We need to remember we are not the only team on the table. It's not Beal saying I only want Miami, that seems to be a harsh reality check to some of these proposed deals. Beal will name his list of teams, then the Wiz will get take the best deal. That simple.

The wiz donot get to take the best deal, its still based on Beal approval, he has to sign of its an NTC.

"right now there does not appear a clear pathway for the two sides." is a hilarious way to punctuate that tweet. "They have interest but there's really no way they can make a deal work"

Just tells me the Heat need to do the pushing. Where there's smoke there's fire when it comes to his interest in Miami.

I believe this is now the 4th different reporter in the last 24 hours to mark Miami as favorites for Beal.

Washington FO working hard to drive up the price. F**k that.

I still expect Beal is coming for cheap unless something like Dame actually becomes possible.

Lebron!

Same 3, Dame(if they rebuild), Beal(if they rebuild), Kyrie.

Kyrie listed Minnesota (Butler had just got there) as one of his 5 destinations when he requested out of Cleveland.

In fairness, he's pretty much behaving like the opposite of a diva.

Harden is a better example of one.

That would be fantastic, we get to keep Caleb and Jovic, and as much as I like good Robinson, we get to swap him out for a less streaky 3 point specialist.

Counter argument: Duncan + Dipo + Lowry take up 57.1m of our cap space next year. What's wrong with getting a Beal (46.7m)?

Does Beal want to be in Miami or not? Apparently, the answer is that he doesn't give a ****.

You can't be this unhinged based on one singular report. There's going to be a lot of information thrown around. There's reasons behind why things like this are shared to the media. It's barely been 24 hours since the original news broke that they would look to trade him. Just be calm and let stuff play out.

I'm not unhinged lol

I've seen this movie before. NOTHING has changed in the last year.

People are getting their hopes up based on hope and prayer clickbait.

We are STILL in the same situation:

"IF washington decides to rebuild..."

"IF Beal asks out...."

Things are different for Beal, he got his supermax, he put in the 1 year he couldn't be traded after signing that supermax and a new FO that may want to rebuild. It's a different situation he has nothing to gain staying in Washington except for just being a one franchise player which I'm not sure is wanted when you're not having success at this point.

People were saying that there was no way Donovan Mitchell was getting moved last year too and then he was.

WAS got someone new to run the organization and owner gave him the go ahead for a rebuild. The reality is that this is way more in the realm of likelihood than it has ever been before in terms of Beal getting moved.

The Dame still is not worth discussing until we see what Portland does a week from today, then we can get a better feel for that situation.
