Duncan took a slight pay cut to be in a winning situation.

I’m guessing Detroit wanted to shed that salary. Definitely sucks having to eat more salary to make a trade (Kyle Anderson) but maybe doing right by Duncan was the cost of getting completely off his deal

Good news is we have an $8mil player that can log minutes and not a $9.9mil player that was cut and thus cannot play.

I really wouldn’t call it a cut. He got 2 more years for 32 million.

Works for everyone. I could see Detroit using him well.
That team is up and coming and could really use the shooting.

Right now we got Highsmith 5m, Love 4m, Rozier 26.6m, Andersen 9.2m, and this font guy 8m. Near 50 million in expirings

Good point...hopefully they use this to their advantage.

This is why a SRP made sense to wrap into this trade.

Helping an in conference contender add elite shooting for a bum and not getting a single asset back while hard capping ourselves at the 2nd apron. You know exactly what I’m complaining about lol

They didn't even get a second round pick lol We did the Pistons a favor for free. Worst FO in the league. No doubt.
