So PJ and DRAGIC have chosen where to go…will Miami turn Philly and Dallas in for tampering or will Adam Silver just screw us again?

Eddie Jones contract. How can some of y’all forget?

Was a bad contract, but atleast Eddie could play and defend.

Eddie Jones til this day is in my top 5 all time favorite Heat players. I used to see him all the time at the Hard Rock Casino. Got him to sign his jersey one time because I was wearing it.

I was watching a specific coin and I made a lot of money on it, then one day I did it again and thats the day it dropped, I lost like $8,000 in like 3 or 4 days. Now I'm committed to waiting for the climb because no way am I going to actually lose 8 grand. Stock market is fine, I day trade, so on most days I come out ahead.

I’m more of a swing trader when I do but I’m
Relatively new to it all. Started about 2 years ago, haven’t done much of anything in the last 6 months. Was trying to learn day trading but I wasn’t over PDT so kind of annoying. Didn’t do much with crypto but I did get lucky and make $15k on Doge, could’ve been $30k but I was being stubborn and holding out for $1. Don’t worry, Turned around and lost it all anyways lol

My advice, especially when you are kinda new, is to sell and get out. Don't lose $500 waiting for that extra $200 you could have made. I lost a lot of money on both crypto and stock markets doing that. Now, I trade...watch the climb, try to get out near the top and stop looking at it it because you'll drive yourself nuts thinking "man, it went up another 50 cents, I should have waited".

To make this basketball related....Go Heat!!

Yezzir you’re 100% right! These weren’t losses for me they were lessons. Greed can be a killer in the market, just take the profit and be happy. Don’t circle back or hold too long and ruin a good trade.

As for Heat related, fuxk you Pj!!!

It's now just a pain in the ass finding a replacement but whatever we settle on likely won't be much of a downgrade if at all

This is where I'm at. He had a good, bounce back year here and was an important piece to our team. But he is replaceable.

Yup. The PJ we're losing next season will not be the PJ we had this season. He'll be another year older and he's already old af in NBA years. You can probably count on one hand the amount of productive 38yo starters for playoff teams in the past 20 years

And I'm not even sure why Philly is pursuing him so hard. His whole value with us came from his ability to play in our switching defense and Philly plays drop D just like the Bucks do and we all saw how good PJ looked in Milwaukee. Only now he'll be 2 years older lol

The tax payer mid level is roughly about 7 mil. That’s not alot of wiggle room considering some of that is probably going to Martin. This team has to improve through the trade market using Duncan’s contract and picks. Marcus Morris would be great cause you know you get Markieff coming back for the minimum. Just need to make sure they don’t bully Jovic lol

Honestly this is a good point. Spurs are far below the cap so his contract shouldn't be an issue for them and he'll definitely help them lose some extra games

I don't think we'd be able to move Lowry this year. I think his pride wouldn't let him, but if we secured Murray, I'd move him to the 2nd unit.

Murray and Herro backcourt would be pretty sweet.

Yeah we are not getting hard capped. The deal we are offering him is more then fair with the early bird. Him not getting our MLE is a crock knowing how it handcuffs us.

I’d rather keep Martin and pay Dipo more and maintain flexibility.

Serious question tho: how long exactly does UD plan on squatting on our salary cap? He's literally 42yo right now, is this gonna drag on into his 50s?

Just tell PJ he will get a UD type deal, for 3 years after this current deal. That way PJ will be 42,43,44 and still get the vet min around 3 mil each year. Also that gives UD a retirement buddy on the team.

This upcoming season would be #20 for UD. Maybe that is the magic number for official retirement.

I'm fine with losing Tucker. As much as he's a Heat type player and I loved his toughness, he's also undersized and probably expects to start again. I think he's going to slow down this year at his age, and this allows us to hopefully get a bigger 4 for this year. I don't think he's worth what he's asking. Now Dipo...we better find a way to keep him though imo. I think losing him would come back to haunt us. He gonna ball out this year I can feel it.

Return to Miami Heat
