I wonder if we could trade this pick to Orlando and try to snake and buy low on Mo Bamba.

Liked Devin before his freshman SZN, nice to hear he's making gains

I'd give him a shot

Right now I’m feeling Jalen Smith with our pick, and then buying into the second for a combo guard like Joel Ayayi.

Playing like a lottery pick in conference play. 28 PPG over the last 3 games and 16 points right now against Missouri with 5 minutes left.

I’ve been on the “Get Bamba” train for quite a while. He’d be an ideal fit next to Bam, and I don’t think he’d cost a whole lot to acquire either.

I think you're wrong. A center that can protect the rim and shoot 3s cost a lot in today's NBA. Raptors probably wouldn't even trade Gasol for a 10th pick in this year's draft.

One of my concerns with Smith is if he can defend centers while Bam defends everyone else. He only weighs 225 right now, 240 would be ideal weight for him.

I like his frame for added mass. He looks like he'd be able to hit 240 pretty naturally as his body matures and he gets onto a strict professional nutrition/weight regimen.

I feel like Bamba will probably get the Winslow treatment from the Magic. He'll be held on to either because a team won't think he has enough value in return for a better player, or Orlando won't want to perceivedly sell low.

They got Vuc on the big money and have played Birch ahead of him a lot. Hard to see him being happy with that, id expect his agent to make some noise in the offseason to try get him moved.

I get the Magic won’t want to sell low, but they’ve kinda tanked his value themselves.

Up there on my list. Center off the bench for the Heat.

With the suspension of games and the coronavirus being much more prolific in Europe, there could be a devaluation of the Euros value. Might be time for Riley to break his anti-Euro stance if Avdija falls ...

Let's go ahead and move the draft date up since there's no more college bball or NBA. Three weeks out maybe? Send cardboard cutouts of Adam Silver to the green roomers and have them do the handshake via video conferencing.

Draft going to be worse with players returning to school because of the virus. Heat should probably just draft a big man because most of the decent talent will be gone. Oturu will be our pick because of corona. I wouldn't mind drafting Carey Jr. though. Good player for when we can't score for 8 minutes.

If Carey Jr drops to us we should definitely pull the trigger.

He should "drop". Remember, a few big name big man got drafted late last year. Clarke, Mfiondu, Fernando, Gafford and Bol Bol, no one really drafts big man that can't defend or don't have range anymore. We don't know who's returning yet but I'm guessing at least 5 players on my mock will. We have defensive issues so I'm guessing we will draft a player that can defend.

Borrowing this from Realgm's own Mr. Mock Draft, Cammo. From his mock draft on the draft forum:

Tier 1:

1. LaMelo Ball (6'6'', SG, USA)
2. James Wiseman (7'1'', C, Memphis, Fresh.)
3. Anthony Edwards (6'5’', SG, Georgia, Fresh.)
4. Cole Anthony (6'2'', PG, North Carolina, Fresh.)

Tier 2:

5. Deni Avdija (6'9'', SF, Israel)
6. Onyeka Okongwu (6’9’’, PF, USC, Fresh.)
7. Daniel Oturu (6’10’’, C, Minnesota, Soph.)
8. Obi Toppin (6’9’’, SF, Dayton, Soph.)
9. RJ Hampton (6'5'', SG, USA)
10. Tyrese Haliburton (6'5'', PG, Iowa State, Soph.)

Tier 3:

11. Isaiah Stewart (6'9'', PF, Washington, Fresh.)
12. Killian Hayes (6'5'', SG, France)
13. Tyrese Maxey (6'3'', SG, Kentucky, Fresh.)
14. Vernon Carey (6'10'', C, Duke, Fresh.)
15. Isaac Okoro (6’6’’, SF, Auburn, Fresh.)
16. Devin Vassell (6’6’’, SG, Florida State, Soph.)
17. Patrick Williams (6’8’’, SF, Florida State, Fresh.)

Tier 4:

18. Theo Maledon (6'5'', PG, France)
19. Josh Green (6'6'', SG, Arizona, Fresh.)
20. Jaden McDaniels (6'10'', SF, Washington, Fresh.)
21. Precious Achiuwa (6'9'', SF, Memphis, Fresh.)
22. Jahmi’us Ramsey (6’4’’, SG, Texas Tech, Fresh.)
23. Aaron Nesmith (6’6’’, SF, Vanderbilt, Soph.)
24. Nico Mannion (6'2'', PG, Arizona, Fresh.)
25. Tre Jones (6'3'', PG, Duke, Soph.)
26. Jalen Smith (6'10'', PF, Maryland, Soph.)

Tier 5:

27. Reggie Perry (6’9’’, PF, Mississippi State, Soph.)
28. Saddiq Bey (6’8’’, SF, Villanova, Soph.)
29. Trendon Watford (6'9'', PF, LSU, Fresh.
30. Cassius Stanley (6’5’’, SG, Duke, Fresh.)
31. Aleksej Pokusevski (7’0’’, C, Serbia)
32. Isaiah Joe (6'5'', SG, Arkansas, Soph.)
33. Paul Reed (6’9’’, PF, DePaul, Jr.)
34. Devon Dotson (6'2'', PG, Kansas, Soph.)
35. Udoka Azubuike (7'0'', C, Kansas, Sr.)
36. Jared Butler (6’3’’, PG, Baylor, Soph.)
37. Amar Sylla (6'10'', C, Senegal)
38. Tyler Bey (6'7'', SF, Colorado, Jr.)
39. Kira Lewis (6’3’’, PG, Alabama, Soph.)
40. Nick Richards (6’11’’, C, Kentucky, Jr.)
41. Omer Yurtseven (7'0'', C, Georgetown, Sr.)
42. Jordan Nwora (6'8'', Louisville, SF, Jr.)
43. Ashton Hagans (6'3'', PG, Kentucky, Soph.)
44. Makur Maker (6’11’’, C, High School)
45. Paul Eboua (6'9'', PF, Cameroon)
46. Cassius Winston (6'0'', PG, Michigan State, Sr.)
47. Myles Powell (6’1’’, SG, Seton Hall, Sr.)
48. Filip Petrusev (6'11'', C, Gonzaga, Soph.)
49. Jay Scrubb (6’6’’, SG, John A. Logan College)
50. Charles Bassey (6'10'', PF, Western Kentucky, Soph.)

That top tier of his is just awful. I'd not like to have a top five pick in this draft. Just bad news all around. Shortcut to disappointment.....unless, I could trade down for multiple picks. The rest of the draft is pretty interesting. I'd much rather have multiple picks in Cammo's tier 4 than a tier 1 pick. Give me the choice of getting LaMelo Ball or two of Green, Jalen, Nesmith, or Maledon, and it's an easy call.
