If Embiid is going to float around the perimeter like a fairy all game we have shot. Fun first half.

Team playing better with conventional sets. No getting cute with PG Bam or Bradley playing SF.

We don't really have that option lol.

Herro and Vincent a bit are the only penetrating guards and they need the space

I just don't get it, why does Philly refuse to utilize Embiid's size and skillset in the low post, playing away from the basket just negates his advantage of being bigger then basically everyone else.

Did you guys see Precious blow by Embiid for the dunk? That was some serious acceleration! I think he's quicker than Bam.

Embiid's body is too fragile to do that consistently in the regular season. Pretty much the same reason AD stopped playing center. Only difference is that AD is a much more capable shooter.

That's my theory. You're right though. It just doesn't make sense.

Ugh, I keep forgetting, the lane has to be open because attacking the basket is the only way Ben Simmons is a threat with the ball.

Embid is a monater in chains. Doc is acting Doc.

No, I keep forgetting. When you have a guy like Ben Simmons on the court, you have to keep everyone away from the basket since he's only a threat with the ball if he can attack the basket.

I keep hearing Simmons and Embiid can work together but the simple facts that Embiid should be playing in the low post but can't because Simmons refuses/can't shoot means you can't take advantage of Embiid's biggest strength of just being too big against nearly everyone near the basket. Embiid should be averaging 30+ points of highly efficient scoring each night in this small ball league. Scoring efficiency is why the league has went towards smaller shooters because there's so few dominate low post big men.

That's true and I'm sure it definitely plays a major factor.

However, Simmons wasn't on the court for the last 5 minutes of the quarter and Embiid was still glued to the perimeter. I guess psychology it's just fking with him too at this point.

Right but they've built the offense for those 2, it wouldn't be too good of resources to build a 2nd offense with Embiid in the low post. Although you "could" run some plays for Embiid in the low post you need a bunch of different options for NBA defenses not to recognize those plays and have decent counters.

Sure does, he had nearly twice as many shot attempts as Embiid in the 1st half.
