By going after Lowry and D Rosan in Sign and Trades, the Heat are probably going to keep Herro and maybe even Duncan. The team could look like this:

Lowry/Dipo
Herro/D Rosan
Butler/Duncan
Batum/?
Bam/?

The team who just won the title had a 31 year old, a 33 year old and 36 year old in their starting lineup. Middleton will be 30 in less than two weeks too.

Better hope Bam turns into Giannis and every other team gets hurt.

Is that the only way it'll work? Like youth is the true path to the title unless other guys get hurt? You can lean on them not being good enough. But age won't be the reason it doesn't get done.

How old do you think the Nets are? That big 3 will be 30,33,33 when the playoffs start. If they Bring back Blake he'll be 33 too. Joe Harris will be 30. The Suns(the young team) benefited just as much if not more from injuries. When they faced a healthy team they got beat.

And we passed on Yurtseven too? So, is Bam now our biggest player? That's pretty bad.

Your comparing 3 superstars top 5-10 league players vs Lowry who at most was a star at the bottom of the totem pole in their prime.

Likely so he will not effect the cap. They can bring him back after everything is settled

I get that. Would be something to reflect on if he signs elsewhere in the interim. Our management has to have something up their sleeves for our big rotation. No move they've made so far give me piece of mind on it though.

No I'm not. The point is age won't be a determining factor. Talent, chemistry and health will. In fact most of time age is actually a good thing in the playoffs. You don't see contenders picking up younger buyout guys after the trade deadline. No team says I'd really like to add youth to my potential championship roster.

One thing's for sure, Lowry/DD/Yimmy/Bam would arguably be the best passing team in the league. They just won't have any 3pt shooters to pass to lol

But overall if Lowry and DD is what happens then I'll still consider it a drastic roster upgrade from last season

We'll need to load up the bench with some snipers and the 4 spot without a doubt needs a 3 point shooter. I hope DD would be cool coming off the bench cause the starting lineup with Herro in it offers more spacing.

Wouldn't we still have our MLE just under $10 mil? If so then I'd give it all to Theis or Portis

Can't be comparing elite players to the also rans we're talking about in here.

I’ve hated nearly every update I’ve heard about the front office’s free agent plans.

Hmm I just assumed a DD deal would involve Duncan S&T. If we can get DD for an Iggy S&T then I'd take that and run lol

Please do not cry about shooting. A lot of you spent all week complaining how a shooter is easily replaceable and shooting 36 percent is good enough to be shooter.

Return to Miami Heat
