When that half started i was calling for Highsmith to come in for Jaime. Jaime couldn’t keep up with the pace of the game on defense. Sucks he got hurt but Highsmith came in and just started making winning plays all over the place

Long term future it’s better we just pay out. We are not out tanking the hardcore tanking teams and I don’t want to give up two future unprotected’s for a 2.0 % chance at the top pick.

The key was getting to 9th worst record, which was doable for Heat. That gives you 4.5 % at no 1 and 8 % at top 4.You got a top 4 pick that gives the FO a clear direction to go longterm.
Right now there isn't one. Most of the key 2026 FA probably re-sign with their teams. So heat are looking at someone to force their way to Miami, which hasnt happened since Butler.
But it is what is. The chips will fall where they should. But if we somehow miss the playoffs, the league, basketball gods owe us Cooper.

Yea he had an open lob on the floater he missed and got his own rebound (the challenge play) and took 2-3 heavily contested 3s early in the shot clock but at least tonight he was able to learn (hopefully) and it came in a win
