As stated on the Marion thead, I like that Nene deal. Dude is only one 25. Contract is kind of chunky. He's a better rebounder than Curry.

He also get as injuryd as shaq. The guy is made out of Glass. Also has to long of a contract and is not a Pure C. I rather have curry on a shorter contract and is a pure C.

As I said on the Marion thread...Nene's numbers are awesome without Camby playing bc Camby takes too much space on the court.
Nene can average 18/10.

From Chad Ford Chat

David(Los Angeles, California): Hi Chad, Do you see the Clippers making a move today? Also do you think Elton Brand will remain a Clipper or jump to the free agency market?

Chad Ford: (1:33 PM ET ) If I'm the Clippers, I try to make a move right now with Elton Brand ... Here's my deal ... Shawn Marion and Jason Williams for Elton Brand and Corey Maggette and a future first. Brand's likely to opt out this summer and he'll be at the top of the Sixers list. If they move him to Miami (where he originally signed a qualifying offer if you remember) they at least get back a player (Marion has an opt out too this summer, but I doubt he'll exercise it) and get back some assets. Riley loves EB.

I dont know if this is something he heard or just his opinion but I would be all over this deal!!!

I like that deal, Brand Maggette and a first for Marion and JWill. That would be great.Could you imagine if we draft Rose and Love.

pg.Rose
sg.Wade
sf.Maggs
pf.Brand
c.love

We would get to the free throw line at least 25 times a game.

Not trying to create a racial issue here, but I can't remember any white C's that were good in the modern NBA...
Black athletes are much better Centers...
Say no to Love.

Put Shaq on his prime agaisnt any of these guys on their prime? Who would you rather have?
What about Zo, Ewing, Hakeem, Kareem, Russell? Want me to go on?
None of the guys you mentioned on their prime would beat any of the guys I listed up there.

So when talking about Centers they have to be great? You said you cant remmber any good White centers? kaman?Andre?Bogut?

So if i said "Only White coachs are great,Blacks are avg" Or "Why cant we get a good White SF,Because compared to Larry bird there is none"?

looks like we are staying pat, which is not all that bad considering we can now feel free to resign dorrell and use the full 6 mil MLE and add a draft pick

i think based on the draft, we may or may not have cap space in 09...if our draft pick and MLE signing fit in well with our core then that will prob be the team...if not, then we can try to sign brand in 09 and let marion go

Yep. If brand really wants to get out, then maybe we can do a S&T using Marion. One thing to consider is, IF we made a deal during the deadline for lets say Jack and we Get 2 pick(rose) then the deadline was stupid. I think the Draft will dictate every for miami. If we Get beasley Does Marion become tradeable? Or do we want brand anymroe since we have beasley?
