I agree on Magic. As exciting as they look at times, they won;t break through as constitued. Lewis was a bad contract.

Wow, Garnett has been the suxxors in the clutch today. He was unguarded with the lane for a run up, should have put it down on Ilguaskas and he threw up some 5 foot floater short.

Pat Riley once coached the two players that single handedly took down the Cavs in game seven.
For a long time it gave me nightmares, witnessing an injustice like that. It’s a constant reminder of just how unfair this world can be.I can still hear them taunting him, Silly Rabbit tricks are for kids.I mean why couldn’t they just give him some cereal?

Can it still be called single-handed if they both helped?

does anyone else feel partial to picking detroit in this series, just because of all the eastern conference battles weve had?

I kind of respect Detroit know. I never felt the true utter hate and revulsion I had towards the Knicks back in the 90's that I would I hate that team no matter what circumstances.

I can't stand Boston, that team just irks me. So I might be in the same boat as you.

The Spurs Hornets elimination game should be good. The Lakers are just a beast with Pau and Odom. If the Spurs win they have a better shot a taking out the Laker because at least they can contain Kobe to a degree while Pau cant contain Duncan and Parker cant be stopped by Fisher.

Wow the Spurs did it again. Once again for everyone thats says pg are the way to go, all the elite pg are now fishing again :)

Inside outside tandems are what works in the playoffs

Kobe/(Pau/Odom)
Pierce/KG
(Billups/Rip)/Sheed
(Parker/Ginobili)/Duncan

Funny, if Hornets would of won, you would of said Paul/and West
if Utah would of won you would of said Deron and Boozer.

Anyways the difference the teams that got ahead, all have close to three Alls Star potential players.

Lakers, Kobe, Gasol, Odom
Boston Pierce, K.G Ray Allen
Spurs, Parker, Ginobili, Duncan
Detroit Rip, Chauncey, Wallace, and Prince

The Bulls had Jordan, Pippen, Rodman

The real telling thing, you need three close to All Star talent.

You also need depth.

Am sure the Heat will pick Rose, if we get number one.

But the Hornets and Jazz both lost to *superior* inside-outside combos. It's not like they lost to one-man teams.

They also played teams that are very complete. They have defensive presence, three point shooters, depth, good passers.

Fixing the Heat will not be as simple as the draft. Fixing the Heat we most address, a Center that can play defense. A SF that can shoot the three, some intelligent role player veterans. But with Rose, Wade, Marion, we could create a good identity, because they know how to play correct basketball. You also need chemistry, not all about my individual stat players, like the Nuggets type of team.

Beasley is not a good defensive player, might not be a great post player playing vs NBA bigs, doesn't have court vision, and might be an all about my stats player.

What "identity" ? a guard oriented team? That will works in the playoffs? Marion is not the 20/10 stud of a few years back, he's on the decline and "out produced" UD by 2 points 2 rebounds.

Just putting things into perspective that once again the top elite pg lead teams are out fishing again.

Please visualize Rose-Wade-\Marion playing together and tell me thats anywhere close any of the 3 trios left in the playoffs...

The Spurs/Lakers/Celtics/Pistons trios have counters if the defense adjusts ...if you clog up the lane they can beat you from outside, they can beat you with the pick and roll, you focus too much on the guards theyll dump it in to the big man and let them work.

The Rose/Wade/Marion trio..theres no pick and roll threat, theres no big man, theres no great shooters(marion needs PLENTY of space) if a great defensive teams clog up the lane on us then its up to them to make those jumpshots.

That trio is closer to B. Diddy/Monta/Jackson or Harris/Carter/Jefferson then any of the trios left in the playoffs.

Can they win a championship? Yea...if Wade plays like he did in the Finals and makes his best Jordan impersonation they can..but why rely on that? thats whats gotten us in trouble the past 2 seasons...
