OKC gonna have to sweeten that pot for CP3. Make it worth our while.

Still wouldn't be thrilled though. That PO for 2021-22 would be a nightmare.

They would peobably entertain giving us one pick back but doubt we have anything to see here. They just traded Westbrook for picks only to send picks out? Makes no sense. Not falling for the Woj okey doke on this. Chris Paul is not worth risking our cap space on. Keep it clean for 2021.

LOL we held out of Westbrook to now entertain a WORSE ONE IN CP3?

Take our bad contracts and give us our picks back then maybe. I entertained Westbrook but I would NOT want CP3 here, dude is too injury prone, bad contract, old!

Yes it would be 2 picks in, 2 picks out...but the Thunder will have cleared the 50 mil due to Westbrook in 2022.

A different case than Westbrook imo, they probably wouldn't ask for the young guys.

There's only one reason not to want CP3, and it's that he'd destroy our financial flexibility going forward, which is enough. Pick compensation would have to be hefty to entertain it.

It would still be an expiring contract to be used in the summer of 2021. Miami needs to get their picks back in the event that they want to trade for one of those soon to be FA's in 2021. Most teams aren't just going to let guys walk anymore.

There's also the possibility of getting Paul and the picks and then working a Wall/Beal deal with those assets.

If OKC trades CP3 to us while giving our pick(s) back, they'd also have no incentive to want to make the Heat worse. Just something to note.
