would you rather have birdman playing limited minutes or juwan howard/eddy curry/pittman and to some extent joel anthony.

at least birdman is somewhat athletic has a good rebounding rate and can block shots and play without fouling

if we can get birdman i think we are done

C- Bosh/Birdman/Joel/Pittman
pf- Battier/Haslem/Howard
sf- Lebron/Lewis/Jones
sg- Wade/Ray/Miller
pg- Chalmers/Cole

Bosh wont start at center all year. Hell played a lot of time there but I dont see him starting as the center.

Let me correct your statement.

^ I'll hold off on saying anything until Woj breaks it. However, wasn't it this same account that broke Ray Allen a couple days before it happened or was it someone else?

The official Heat twitter did not say anything about it...

If true, HELL YES.

Birdman's a guy I loved in Denver, and he brings a lot of energy/hustle/intensity and rebounding/shotblocking off the bench.

The best part is that he has legit size and is a legit center.

Let's just hope he's not uber washed up at this point. As stated by a few posters before me, he's quite old and coming off surgery.

Well, Andersen is definitely a huge upgrade over Juwan or Eddy, so no complaints there. Here's hoping he can still rebound and his surgery/age don't impact his game too much.

He better work on his shot and conditioning up until training camp. Looking forward to seeing some pre-knee problem Wade!

It was @Schultz_Report who was early on Allen and Lewis. Not saying those two Heat fan accounts are wrong, but I wouldn't say they're highly credible sources.

Prepare to be shocked on opening night. Or you can accept it now. The entire organization, including Bosh, is all-in on it. He's our best center. He's starting there.

Anyone know if Ray has returned to the court?

IF we get him, Birdman really solidifies our bench. Birdman (and Anthony), Haslem, Shard (and Jones), Allen (and Miller), and Cole is good at every spot but possibly point guard, where we have enough to cover the spot in the starting lineup and enough wing depth to not care. Slide Wade or Bron over, bring Allen and Miller in. Of course, I'm encouraged by the way Cole played, but not foolhardy enough to entirely trust it...

This article was from August 11th:
Allen said his ankle is now about 75 to 80 percent healthy, and he expects to be 100 percent when training camp starts next month.

Riley said he'd like to have the training camp roster filled out by the end of Labor Day weekend, meaning new additions to the squad should be popping up over the next 5 days.

I'm on board with the Heat's plan to start Bosh at c and have him play the majority of his minutes there, and I'm also on board with the 'pf by committee' approach using Haslem/Battier/Lewis/LeBron at that position (with some Bosh undoubtedly sprinkled in).

The thing that I'm really unsure of, however, is exactly what that pf rotation is going to look like. Who starts when everybody's healthy, and how will the minutes and rotations be managed? It's going to be interesting to see how many minutes Haslem/Lewis/Battier/LeBron/Bosh play at pf.

Chalmers/Cole
Wade/Allen/Miller
LeBron/Battier/Jones
Haslem/Lewis
Bosh/Birdman/Anthony/Pittman
