Stay tuned... Charlotte is on a 22-1 run. Hornets are up by 15.
Hawks are also losing. If Hornets win and Hawks lose to the Cavaliers, the Heat are in 4th place and a win tomorrow moves us to 3rd.

I remember 11-30 with these guys. ^

Looks like 1-1 could potentially get us the 3rd seed if the Hawks lose to the Wizards. Let's go 2-0 though and get that confidence going in to the playoffs.

Horny Hornets spankin' the C's right now
If u don't want 2b here, the way things work, u don't like it, then don't b here. U have 2 stand on something. If Miami ain't standing on something, they become alot of these organizations trying 2 find their identity. This is the culture, bro -Wade

If we can't beat Boston in a 7 game series then we never had any business even thinking about the ECF. THat's exactly where i see us headed.
We have way too much playoff tested veterans on this team to lose to a team like the Celtics in the playoffs. Heat culture won't be denied come playoff time. Best Believe That!
Not even a fifth of this team has experienced winning meaningful playoff games, just cause you in the Don's house don't make you the Don.
We can't hang on that culture stuff anymore. I appreciate the optimism but we're being realistic. If things go south then I'd like to see more of this 3B and less of the Anus sniffing, Hoestra-ing and Kade'ing. I'll be happy to see the second round and above but i'm not gonna get too carried away if it's not justified
It takes a lot of pride and grit to admit these things, 3B.

Why can't we? That culture stuff you're diminishing is important to every organization that's won championships (see Lakers, Spurs, and oh yeah, the HEAT). Oh and the bolded isn't even accurate. Dragic's been to a WCF, Wade's a three-time champion, and Joe Johnson been to WCF with the Suns in '04-'05 albeit in a smaller role (think he got hurt that year) and he's been to the second round numerous times with ATL and BKN. That's 3 players out of a possible 15 (one fifth). If you want to say that as a unit they have little to no playoff experience, then I can't argue that. What's funny is that Boston has even less experience. At this point you aren't being realistic, just over the top pessimistic. But hey, to each his own. If Boston's the team you're gonna fear, then you obviously think advancing past Round 1 borders on impossible, because both Charlotte and Atlanta are better equipped for the playoffs than Boston is imo (ATL- more experience and better players, CHA- better players period).

These are all games we had no business losing this year. It's the difference now between 47-33 and 56-24. Astonishing difference if you ask me.

Experiencing winning meaningful playoff games is an unfair measure to vet playoff experience, yes I'll give you that. I don't think our vets playoff experience reflects a winning culture as a whole, especially as the Miami Heat know it.
I don't know if it's unrealistic pessimism but I would genuinely like to avoid the Celtic's because I believe they are an all around bad match-up for us. Sometimes even a winning culture isn't enough to overcome a bad match-up, Spurs last year per example. I don't want to stop you from thinking otherwise or strip you of your opinion

Every team drops some stinkers. Miami has also won some games they weren't favored in.

I think everybody knows my stance about this team. I've always had faith in our roster/our players, wich is the main reason why i've preached team ball all season. I believe we've always been better than our record, i think if Spo had been smarter we wouldn't be in desperation mode right now trying to lock up that 3rd spot. My outbursts are more to do w/ all the above than anything else.
I don't have us in the ECF pre-season for nothing.......I trust and believe in this team even before we played our first game. How we are currently playing (faster pace and moving the ball) is what i envisioned from the get go......i have been upset because it took Spo over half a season to figure it out.
I disagree about the lack of playoff experience you stated about our team. Wade for one has extensive NBA Finals experience, Deng has been in the playoffs w/ the Bulls and has played some legendary games vs the Celtics. Joe Johnson has also played significant games in the playoffs, as well as Amare w/ the Suns. Not to mention Dragic has been to WCF. That's 5 veterans out of a possible 8-9 man rotation that Spo will most likely use.
I must disagree about merely dismissing Heat culture. It's not just about winning but more the philosophy behind what we do, why we do and how we do things that reflects who we are. Wins come as a result of how we approach things. The league and other teams marvel and respect our culture here. This culture builds character (look what we've done w/ Hassan for example). And this character goes along way in regards to guiding players and building a team. We have history & pride.....in sports this is invaluable. In the playoffs the spirit of our culture will help give this team extra strength and fortitude.
Give us the Celtics, if we lose then we're not ready, simple as that. We should be able to beat anybody in the East if we paln to beat anybody in the West and we must show that we are capable to impress any potential FA signing during the offseason. If we win we become stronger as a unit for it and our rooks and playoff newbies will have valuable experience under their belts.
Miami should be up for the challenge and so should the fans!

Nice graphic: it's good to see that if we take care of business tomorrow we lock up home court in the first round. The team should be focussed on winning out so we get home putt and don't have to face Cavs until the ECF.
Ideal scenario for me is:
3 - Heat
4 - Hawks
5 - Celtics
6 - Hornets
But it's missing a couple of scenarios - half of those where we lose to Pistons but beat Celtics.

Yea, if we played the Hawks in the first round then I would've definitely bought some tickets to see the games live at the Philips Arena... Lol but outside of that the Hawks IMO lost a step when they let go of Carroll. He played a huge role for that team
Bazemore filled Carroll's role and then some. Hawks just played bad overall until like a month ago, now they're back to last season form. I want to avoid them as much as the Celtics, if not more.
Come on you lot.
You're looking to avoid half the teams in the first round because you're sure we'll lose to them. That says that we're not very good.
Grow a pair.
If we're only the 5th best team in the East the playoffs will be short anyway.
I remember when the Dolphins were perennial contenders
