I remember being high on Maciej Lampe.

Yep.

Media brainwashed everyone on that kid. Feels like on draft day they were expecting the Heat to draft him. That's why I trust this org on draft picks (the ones they actually keep). I don't feel like we've struck out on a first round pick in the past twenty years. I wouln't have taken Bam or Herro, yet they were exactly the guys we needed. Keep the pick this year, and do it again.

Main one I see is his ball handling and body control. Or lack thereof. while very athletic, He's not super quick and isn't creative when driving to the rim, he's mainly a straight line driver at this point, doesn't really have any effective spin moves or anything more complex then "dribble past you and dunk". Might improve on that with age, but I think he's just more of an Klay Thompson type of a scorer (talking upside), meaning he'll mainly rely on his outside shot and build off it, could drive on occasion after a strong close out, or on the fast break, but won't be a relentless paint attacker, probably won't get to the free throw line too much.

Also, whish we would see him get some big minutes in close games. Watch him under pressure, See how he handles it.

Media had Dirk fever and were constantly looking for the next 7 footer who could shoot. Lampe and Tskitishvilli were the two 'great white hopes' on that front, and both flamed out. Porzingis the guy who has been the closest thing to him.

On the other side, I was very high on Doncic and thought he was easily the best player in the Draft. So I'm 1/2 on my international stans.

Dang, thats bad.

At least Rex noted some issues in his game in that post. Sounds like he was hesitant to go all the way into the rabbit hole.

I deferred big time on Luka. Wasn't even on my draft board, lol.

Sounds like TNT are forgetting a certain guy named Darko Milicic.

Ennis TJ and Beas should get 35 minutes a night, Rest Wade, Give Whiteside a ton of offensive touches. Pray we continue to suck and jump some teams and get a better pick then 10.

There are 4 really exciting game changers in this year's draft :

Karl Towns
Jahlil Okafor
Emmanuel Mudiay
D'Angelo Russell

Then you have about 6 good players that might become high quality role players or all-stars down the line :

Justise Winslow
Willie Cauley-Stein
Mario Hezonja
Kristaps Porzingis
Stanley Johnson
Myles Turner

after that you've got meh talent, and it will take a miracle to find a game changer there.

To be fair, Rex is spot on half of the time and that's probably as good as any NBA scouts I'd reckon.

Not fair to lay everything at the media's feet; Mario's hype came from 'potential' plays that prop up lots of prospects and that he had a lot of

I didn't go as far as some guys(like Rex) went, but I was a Stanley Johnson fan-- no room to criticize.

Rex did miss on Luka tho, so maybe we should criticize him

Is there a possession where the Lakers don't think they got fouled?

Dame is just ridiculous. How you making that chit!?

Hassan been a beast inside. Maybe coming off the bench like this has humbled him a little - set screens, roll, protect the paint. That's it.

It's going to be funny if Portland win this game. What is Skip going to say? You think he will blame Lebron while also not giving Lillard any credit?

He always plays good against Lebron. He always seems to take away his to the basket game forcing him to score from outside. Lebron's going to score in the 30's-40's without hitting his jump shot.
