Pistons game is huge.

Win it and we've got HCA, that all we need. We could rest against Celtics the final game.

If u don't want 2b here, the way things work, u don't like it, then don't b here. U have 2 stand on something. If Miami ain't standing on something, they become alot of these organizations trying 2 find their identity. This is the culture, bro -Wade

That would mean 3.ATL 4.BOS 5.CHA 6.MIA. No?

These are all games we had no business losing this year. It's the difference now between 47-33 and 56-24. Astonishing difference if you ask me.

Every team drops some stinkers. Miami has also won some games they weren't favored in.

Every good team drops some stinkers, yes. But man I feel like we've dropped way too many.

That's who we are.

We've a lot of young players who are going to go through their ups and downs and we've got vets who don't always put 100% in.

The vets will bring it every game in the playoffs so If the young players can perform we'll do well.

You couldn't ask for a better opportunity. We control our own destiny. Win 1 game and we get home court, win 2 games and we get 3rd seed.

Let's get it.

How many games did you predict we'd win before the season started?

I predicted that we'd win 52 games and as things stand we have a good shot at 48 wins, 49 if we win out.

If I had told you before the season that Bosh would go down once again with blood clots I think people would've been shocked to get 49 wins.

When Bosh went down again people were telling me that we were gonna miss the playoffs and be 10th seed again.

We're 1 win away from being the 4th seed and 2 away from being the 3rd. As bad as those dropped games might feel we aren't alone in them. The Hawks and Celtics have lost just as many games as us. I'm willing to bet that you'd find a lot of stinkers in their schedule too.

I just quickly went though their scheduled:

Some of Bostons bad losses:

Nets
Magic
Pistons
Lakers
Nets
Pistons
Bulls
Knicks
Magic
Bucks
T Wolves
Hornets

It happens to everyone.

I think the division winner gets a higher seed in 3-way ties. Somebody correct me if I'm wrong.

You're right but in this case, Atlanta would be the division winner and will have 1 more win than BOS,CHA and MIA so they're not included in the tie-breaker

2nd scenario is also incorrect - we'd be 5th.

We're around what I thought we would be. Doesn't mean I can't expect better than dropping silly games to the Lakers and Magic. It's just astonishing how much those type losses accumulate and make a difference in the end.

Guess it's just lucky for me that I think the HEAT are in a good spot overall in a macro sense. We've bounced back so well after an underwhelming start to the season and that's with injuries to key guys. Once the playoffs hit, none of what we're talking about will matter. We'll either embrace the challenges, or we won't.

Congrats to DWade for playing 72 games so far. Most since 2011. Didn't think he could do it, but glad to be wrong :D
